Bodegas Amézola de la Mora Iñigo Amézola Blanco 2019

DOCa Rioja - 93 points Tim Atkin MW “This is only the second vintage of this delicious, age-worthy Viura from Amézola de la Mora's two-hectare Maria Antoniana vineyard - the last was the 2012 - and it’s another very impressive release. Given skin contact for four days before completing its fermentation in new French oak, this is spicy, honeyed and complex, with notes of quince and citrus and some underlying tannins. 2022-29”

Bodegas Amézola de la Mora Iñigo Amézola Tinto 2019

DOCa Rioja - 94 points Tim Atkin MW “There was no Iñigo release in 2018 - which may help to explain the quality of the Crianza – so it's good to see this Tempranillo back in the range in 2019. Selected from the best plots of the San Quiles vineyard, it's appealingly delicate and floral, with a delicacy that is almost Pinot Noir like. The new wood is deftly integrated here, the finish long and tapering. 2023-30”

Bodegas Amézola de la Mora Señorío de Amézola Reserva 2015

Rioja Alta - Tim Atkin MW "The Amézola style combines elements of tradition as well as modernity, typified by this Reserva blend of Tempranillo with 10% Mazuelo and 5% Graciano. Savoury, aromatic and concentrated, with good underlying focus and grip, some American oak sweetness and layers of bramble, blackberry and raspberry fruit."

Bodegas Amézola de la Mora Viña Amézola Crianza 2018

Rioja Alta - Tim Atkin MW "The cool 2018 vintage seems to suit the style of this bodega, given its penchant for freshness and elegance. Peppery and fresh, with rose petal aromas, fine oak integration and a core of sweet and savoury red berry fruit. Structured yet elegant, this is my kind of Crianza. 2022-26."
