After more than a year of experimenting with Norwegian berries and other botanicals to find the perfect recipe, the first craft gin from "Det Norske Brenneri" was finally launched in 2105.
The magnificent Harahorn Gin is made with herbs and berries from land and sea. Among them juniper berries, blueberries, rhubarb, bladderwrack, angelica and oregano. To maintain full control over the quality of the small batch gin, only 400 liters are made at a time. The name Harahorn Gin comes from a mountain in Hemsedal, inspiration was the Norwegian mythical creature of the same name, a hare with antlers, which also adorns the bottle of Harahorn Gin and which no human has ever seen with his own eyes. The incomparable gin has a wonderfully clear color and smells incredibly pure on the nose with aromas of juniper and citrus. The palate is treated to fresh and pure flavors of juniper, fruit and spice. Harahorn Gin combines the taste of Norway with a splash of folklore.
The white rum from Takamaka is - just like the other Takamaka rum varieties - no ordinary rum. From the Seychelles - the African archipelago in the Indian Ocean - comes this sugar cane rum similar to a "Rhum Agricole".
As with a Rhum Agricole, Takamaka Rum is not - as is usually the case - the sugar cane molasses as a by-product of sugar production is processed into rum, but directly the juice of the freshly squeezed sugar cane. This makes the Takamaka White Rum enormously fresh. On the palate, it unfolds soft, creamy and fruity aromas.
Perfect as a Bais for various cocktails, such as Mojito, Cuba Libré, Long Island Iced Tea, Daiquiri and the eternally popular Pina Colada.
