It has intense and deep red colour, fruity and spicy aromas with elegant notes of vanilla. To the palate it has full-bodied, complete, absorbing taste, with elegant tannins on the finish. This wine can be best enjoyed to hearty dishes, with strong flavours, or even spicy dishes, like grilled meat, roasted meat, game and mature cheeses.

Company portrait
In 1981, Roberto Mazzei founded the family business Alibrianza, which since then has stood for fine wines from the most important regions of Italy. His son Andreas has now taken over the management, while his father is still at his side with advice and effort.
Alibrianza-Cantine Andreas Mazzei now offers fine wines from various Italian regions. However, everything started in Piedmont, with the takeover of the Cascina Radice winery (Moasca, Asti) in the 1990s, a long-cherished dream came true for the Mazzei family. Gradually, the barrique cellar was expanded and the production facility was modernized.
At the moment, sustainability is a big and important challenge. Through various investments in production and in viticulture as well as with the expansion of solar systems, we would like to come closer to the goal of being able to show a neutral CO2 footprint as early as possible.
Due to the southern Italian roots of father Roberto, it was obvious to gain a foothold in southern Italy. The range was first expanded to include wines from Sicily. The vines for the Andrero wines are located in the province of Trapani, in western Sicily.
After that, special attention was paid to Puglia thanks to its excellent geographical position for viticulture. Long before the region gained its current level of fame in the field of viticulture, the Mazzei family recognized the enormous potential of the native grape varieties. This is how Colle al Vento was born, a selection of fine wines from vineyards located in the provinces of Taranto and Brindisi, in southern Puglia.
Thanks to the quality-conscious selection of the grapes and the optimal management of the vines, the wines from Alibrianza-Cantine Andreas Mazzei are now synonymous with high quality and consistency. The family business offers a variety of interesting wines from many regions of Italy. All wines can be obtained from the main warehouse near Milan. The Mazzei family strives to offer their customers an interesting range of high-quality wines under the best logistical conditions.
