Allan Scott Family Winemakers Pinot Noir 2018

Marlborough - This succulent Pinot Noir has aromas of spice, currant and dark Ghana chocolate. A juicy cherry mouthfeel matches perfectly with the grippy bitterness of the dark cocoa. A long and luxurious feel on the palate will remind you of your favourite cherry jam colliding with that warm dark cup of black tea.

Region
New Zealand > Marlborough

Alc.: 13 % ABV   |   RS: 2.9 g/l

Blend
100% Pinot Noir

Vinification
The whole bunch grapes were transferred to open top cuves for cold maceration of 7-10 days followed by wild fermentation. During fermentation, the juice is pumped over and plunged up to 3 times per day allowing gentle extraction of fruit tannins. After skin time ranging from 23 to 31 days the wine was pressed, briefly settled and transferred to 20% new and 80% used barrels for maturation and 100% malolactic fermentation.

Maturation
This Pinot Noir is concentrated and powerful and deserves a little bit of bottle aging before enjoying with rich flavoursome food.

Allan Scott Family Winemakers Rose 2019

Marlborough - Following in the footsteps of our European counterparts, New Zealand has seen a resurgence in the popularity of the Rosé style of wine. Some would say it is due to the simplicity of the wine style, and the sense of fun associated. This elegant salmon pink Rosé immediately presents luscious strawberries and cream on the nose. Those bright berries, meet with white peach stone fruit on the palate with a dry, medium-dry finish.

Region
New Zealand > Marlborough

Alc.: 12.5 % ABV   |   RS: 11.0 g/l   |   TA: 7.1 g/l

Vinification
The fruit was picked early-March and a percentage was macerated on skins for 4 hours before pressing off. Another proportion was drained off tanks to help with concentration. The wine was fermented very cool (10⁰-13⁰C) to preserve the fruit characters and the bright lively colour. After only a short time on lees (2 weeks) it was racked and sulphured, before being filtered and prepared for bottling.

The vineyards are sustainably managed, and with the care given during the growing season produce some of the world’s greatest wines. Fresh, zesty, juicy and full, this fruit-driven new world style wine will excite the senses without the racy overload. Tropical fruit with a fresh herbaceous character balanced with zesty passionfruit and a dry finish, this wine will take you straight back to the warmer summer days.

Region
New Zealand > Marlborough

Alc.: 12.50 % ABV   |   RS: 3.3 g/l   |   TA: 7.8 g/l

Blend
100% Sauvignon Blanc

Vinification
The highly skilled and multinational team in the winery have produced another fantastic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are machine harvested and immediately pressed in the cool of the night. The juice is maintained at cool temperatures to ensure the aromatics are not lost. Cleared juice is then fermented to dryness at cool temperatures with specifically selected yeasts. We then selected the pick of the tanks for blending into a wonderful fresh expression for bottling.

Allan Scott Family Winemakers Pinot Gris 2019

Marlborough - Marlborough Pinot Gris has grown strongly in popularity over the last few years, and has quickly become a staple in the Allan Scott Family Winemakers range. This Pinot Gris had a short spell of skin contact to enhance colour and flavour. With aromas of melon, citrus and stone fruit, this wine is highly drinkable now and will accompany a broad range of cuisine.

Region
New Zealand > Marlborough

Alc.: 13 % ABV   |   RS: 7.75 g/l   |   TA: 6.3 g/l

Blend
100% Pinot Gris

Vinification
This fruit was machine harvested to break up the grapes and to help with maximum extraction from the fruit. The juice was then cool-fermented to retain fruit characters before being conditioned prior to bottling.
