Château Nouret estates is located in northern Médoc between the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. It takes advantage of the climate regulation provided by these two large bodies of water. Those temperate climatic conditions contribute to a good ripening and a steady quality of the wines. The terroir of Château Nouret is mainly clay-limestone and clay-sand. Established on an area of 21 Ha wineyard with a 30 years old average age. It is made up of 4 islets of plots on spread over varied soils with gravelly, clayey and sandy ridges in the towns of Civrac-médoc, Bégadan and Valeyrac (*Château Lartigue). The vineyard regional grape variety is a balanced of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate is certified High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3 for all of its wines. Currently 95% of the estate is worked without herbicides. « Intrants » are decreasing and Nouret is providing substainable agriculture. Mechanical instead of chemical weed control. The soil is worked to allow better establishment of the vines. Our Wine Maker is working with consultant oenologist Edouard Lambert from the Eric Boissenot laboratory. *The Renaissance of a forgotten 1932 Cru Bourgeoiss. Château Lartigue is from 18th century property acquired in 2018. This 14 hectare for production vineyard is situated on the best terroirs of Valeyrac area and has a planting potential of 30 hectares of AOC vines more. The reconstruction of its formers buildings is currently under way.
