Our Kiwi-style Riesling -a delicate off dry wine made in a deliciously juicy fruit driven style. Very pure, citrus/lime and subtle stone-fruit flavours. Intense, concentrated and harmonious with that perfect balance of ripe fruit sweetness, fresh acidity, drying minerality and long long finish. Good today; but better many tomorrows hence.

2018 Forrest Chenin Blanc

Classic ripe Chenin Blanc notes on the nose of vanilla custard, lemon curd, ripe green apple, lemon blossom and a hint of biscuity lees character.

The taste; lemon curd, granny smith apple, dry straw and hints of marmite, while the palate, being full, rich and weighty, still retains Chenin’s signature crisp acidity and clean, fresh finish.

The Doctors' Pinot Noir 2018

Marlborough - Our Pinot Noir is produced from our North and Middle Wairau Valley vineyards, planted over 20 years ago - very special sites composed of alluvial river terrace soils, crushed stones and clay. Simply put, we’ve perfected a delicious full flavoured wine by slowing the grape plant’s ability to make sugar but not its ability to make flavour. And it’s all done in the vineyard. No chemistry tricks or genetic engineering wizardry here. Just sustainably grown, naturally produced lower alcohol wine.

About us

Company details

Just outside of Renwick, in Marlborough, John and Brigid Forrest have been crafting wines since the late 1980’s.

Returning to family roots and generations of farming in the Marlborough region seemed a natural progression for the couple after successful careers in scientific research and medicine. So the young family returned from living and working overseas amongst the burgeoning wine industries of California and South Australia to get a start on a fairly green New Zealand wine industry.

The first vintage for Forrest Wines came in 1990, when an over-filled red wine fermenter “accident” resulted in a trophy winner Merlot Rosé.
Fast forward almost 30 years; many awards and accolades, 5 labels and vineyards across the country. Forrest is set for generations.
