Muenchberg Grand Cru Riesling 2017
Terroir: Sheltered by Ungersberg , Muenchberg is a wonderful south-facing amphitheatre , it enjoys a unique microclimate. The soil and subsoil are conglomerates, often with decomposed elements, are sometimes rich in tufa and volcanic ash. Such poor, stony, sandy soils drain well and warm up rapidly.
Wine tasting: The wine has a beautiful maturity. The nose is intense, pleasant and racy. One perceives dominant hot odor, lemon, grapefruit and mineral character. Airing enhances the previous aromas, fine marmelade and reveals a shy smoky mineral character.
In the mouth, the range of aromas reminiscent of the nose, dominated by fruits and a complex rating, brioche. The finish has a beautiful length, 5caudalies, frank and nervous. The balance of this wine is carried by the terroir, time will allow him to accomplish.
