All our vines are cared for according to the concept of integrated winemaking. Our work is based on natural prevention and curing measures, and the vines are only treated when there is a real risk of disease using products that are as innocuous as possible for the auxiliary fauna, such as the natural predators that help to eliminate some of the pests that affect our vines.
Another aspect we strive to care for is the renewal of the terraces where the vines grow, to maintain the excellent typical harvests of the Ribeira Sacra. On these steeply sloping plots of land, we reject the use of wide terraces created for the use of machinery to collect the grapes, which produce very steep banks, like scars on the hillsides.
Our commitment towards the terroir of the Ribeira Sacra is to seek the best possible integration with the environment, creating small terraces with one or two rows of vines and small banks.
Respect towards correctly cultivating the Ribeira Sacra means focusing on the noble local varieties instead of foreign varieties that were planted in former times.
Through our efforts, we aim to bring back the unique character of these magnificent vineyards.
