Txakoli Basa Lore (Basque White Wine) North Spain Basque Country next to San Sebastian

White wine made from our autoctonous-indigenous grape Hondarrabi Zuri.
Gets a light and balanced sparkling level in the process of natural fermentation.

TASTING NOTES
Visually: Pale white with a touch of green, his bright tone shows a fine and elegant bubble.
Smelling: Fine and sophisticated fragance, reminiscent of green apples and grapes, with a minty note.

To taste: Dry in the beginning, harmonious in the mouth, it has a wide and aromatic end, resulting and cheerful because of its bubbles.

WINE AND FOOD PAIRING
All kinds of Seafood and Grilled Fish. Tuna, Anchovies, Roasted Lamb, Sushi or Tiramisú.

TO CONSUME AND SERVE
It should be consumed young and served fresh between 6° and 8° C in glass. 1% alcohol.

Visually: Straw yellow colour. Subtle floral aromas of exotic fruit with mineral notes

Smelling: Fine and sophisticated fragrance, reminiscent of green apples and grapes, with a minty note.

To taste: Dry in the beginning, harmonious in the mouth. Fresh, fruity and with characteristic acidity.

WINE AND FOOD PAIRING

All kinds of Seafood and Fish. Excellent with Oysters, Sushi or Tempura fish.

TO CONSUME AND SERVE

Txakoli Rosé Basque Country next to San Sebastian Getariako Txakolina

Rosé wine made from the grapes Hondarrabi Zuri (50%) and Hondarrabi Beltza (50%).

Gets a light and balanced sparkling level in the process of natural fermentation.

TASTING NOTES

Visually: Pale pink with shades of fuch- sia, its bright tone shows a fine and ele- gant bubble.

Smelling: Fine and sophisticated fra- grance accompanied with notes of citrus and menthol.

To taste: Harmonious in the mouth, freshness that reminds you the straw- berry sour caramel, tasting cheerful be- cause of its bubbles.

WINE AND FOOD PAIRING

All kinds of Seafood and Fish. Excellent with Oysters, Sushi. Rice, vegetables, white meat.

If you are attending 2020 Prowein in Dusseldorf, you are very welcome to come over to our booth and taste-pair the unique Zero added Sulfite-Sulfite Free txakoli and an Organic-Bio basque natural cider.
Both products are located and produced in Zarautz-Getaria, next to San Sebastian and just 40 mins drive from Bilbao and 30 mins from France.

Bodega Txakoli Basa Lore circa 1930 Basque Country North Spain

Basa Lore belonging to the D.O. Getariako Txakolina, has been harvesting the best quality since 1930.

Our txakoli is produced, only, with the indigenous-autoctonus local grape called Hondarrabi Zuri (meaning white grape in the Basque language) and with Hondarrabi Beltza to produce the Rosé txakoli.

The txakoli it´s a bit fizzy (that bubble comes naturally after the fermentation), fresh, with a touch of salinity, saltyness. That salinity comes from those North winds, that are carrying the salt from the ocean and literally they shower the vines. All of our 10 acres are facing North looking at the ocean.

We offer visits to the winery, previous booking in advance. A winery next to the ocean just 15 mins. drive from San Sebastian, and 45 mins. from France.

The Hondarrabi Zuri grape, it´s quite sour and bitter and needs to be humid almost all the time, facing them North, we get that particular feeling.
