LIV

WHITE WINE | VINHO VERDE DOC | 12,0% VOL.
The LIV Vinho Verde DOC, is characterized by its playfulness, lightness and freshness. Aromas of fresh fruit transports us to the Summer. It is perfect for simply sipping at a late afternoon get-together or at the table, with refreshing culinary delicacies such as fish dishes.

Sustainable agriculture ensures the longevity and health of the soil and the vines. Wine is a natural product which, for us, means to produce with minimal intervention in the cellar avoiding the use of preservatives whenever possible. Only in this way can we ensure a wine that represents our culture and expresses the terroir.

LIV ROSÉ

ROSÉ WINE | VINHO VERDE DOC | 12,0% VOL.
A “Vinho Verde” made with regional grape varieties produced in the sub-region of Baião. The grapes are grown with sustainable farming practices. In the cellar minimal intervention techniques are used resulting in a light and aromatic wine that is fresh and exceptionally mineral.

The grapes were received in the cellar in boxes of 24 kg. Manual selection was followed by destemming. Soft pneumatic pressing. Must fermented in stainless steel vats at low temperature. Stabilization and light filtering. No animal derivatives were used in the winemaking process, making this wine vegan-friendly. Special care was taken during winemaking, minimizing any intervention, with the purpose of producing a natural wine that expresses the particularities of the plots of vines, grape varieties and climate. Bottled in February 2017.

CASA DO ARRABALDE 2018

WHITE WINE | VINHO VERDE DOC | 12,5% VOL.
Casa do Arrabalde 2017 combines the regional grape varieties Avesso, Alvarinho and Arinto, produced at the Quinta using sustainable farming practices and minimal intervention techniques. It is a wine with plenty of freshness and a good aromatic problem.

The winter of 2017 was relatively dry. However, this trend inverted completely during the 2018 Spring, which registered far greater levels of precipitation than the average levels of rainfall for this time. These rains forced us to apply treatments in the vineyards for mildew and oidium. Also, in the beginning of March we had hailstorms in Casa do Arrabalde, which prejudiced the yields of some parcels.

Summer, on the other hand, was hot and dry, the average temperatures in August and September being much higher than the annual averages for these months. Despite the intense heat, the vines went thru the season without any issues.

The harvest of Casa do Arrabalde 2018 started early, on 9 of October, in consequence of the hot summer..

MONÓLOGO AVESSO P67 ESSÊNCIA 2015

WHITE WINE | VINHO VERDE DOC | 13,5% VOL.
In years of special climate conditions it is possible to produce an “essência, a wine in which the maturation of the grape reaches na extreme value, allowing the yeasts, during the fermentation process, to finish their action naturally maintaining a high level of residual sugar.

The year of 2015 was one of those rare years where a small fraction of the Avesso, from the parcel P67, allowed for the production of a limited lot of “essência” that was bottled in May 2017.
