DG Red DOC

CONCEPT
An everyday wine made with the good varieties of the Douro Superior.
VINTAGE YEAR
The year of 2015 was normal in the Douro, not creating difficulties for the proper
development of the vines. At the end of the cycle occurred some rainfall, which
facilitated the ripening and balance of the grapes allowing to obtain white wines with
above-average quality.
TECHNOLOGY
Fermentation in granite lagares with mechanical maceration. After fermentation, with
about a week of maceration, the wine was racked to stainless steel vats, where the
suspended solids settled. Bottling was done in March 2017, after slight fining and
filtration. It was stabilized by the natural cold of two winters and therefore can form a
slight sediment rash over time, which is harmless to the quality of the wine.
APTITUDE
Ready to drink, although it has the potential to age for the next 5 to 6 years.
GRAPE VARIETIES
Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca and Bastardo from
vineyards between 450 and 650 meters of altitude.
CHEMICAL ANALYSIS
Alcohol – 14.0% | Total Acidity – 5.2 g/L | Volatile Acidity – 0.60 g/L | pH – 3.60.
TASTING NOTES
Ruby red color. The aroma shows some exuberance of fresh fruit, with
noticeable red fruit notes. In the mouth, the balance among average structure,
good freshness and fruity flavour is surprising, imparting a harmonious finish.
SERVICE
Pour at a 16 °C, without decantation.
Given the characteristics it is indicated for the daily meals, especially roasts and
stews with generous seasoning.

DG White DOC

CONCEPT
An aromatic white wine for daily drinking with the elegance of altitude wines.
VINTAGE YEAR
The year of 2016 was complex. The winter and especially spring were more rainy
than average across the Douro. December and January have been warmer than
average, leading to early budburst and the months of February, March, April and
May were cooler than normal, slowing down vine development. The remaining
months to October were very warm and dry allowing for easy and healthy grape
ripening process, but with little aromatic expression.
TECHNOLOGY
Full destemming and light pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats for about
two weeks at a temperature around 16° c. Settling and élevage in stainless steel
vessels. Slight fining and tight filtration before bottling, in February 2016.
APTITUDE
To drink young, however for those who enjoy aged white wine can be kept for a
3 to 5 years.

fruits. In the mouth it is balanced, very fresh and has good structure.

D. Graça White Viosinho Garrafeira (Ended)

CONCEPT
To show the aptitude of Viosinho for bottle aging wines (vin de garde).
VINTAGE YEAR
The year of 2011 in the Douro was very wet in the spring, allowing the soil to

the high altitudes where the vineyards are have enabled a perfect ripening of the
grapes, even in the most difficult varieties.
TECHNOLOGY
Full destemming of grapes and skin maceration for about 3 hours. Fermented at
16° C, in stainless steel vats. During storage in stainless steel vats, wine was kept
in contact with fine lees for two months. Slight fining and tight filtration before

About us

Company details

Two generations marked the birth of VINILOURENÇO ... Horácio Augusto Lourenço planted the first vineyards in the 1980s and impelled the foundations of his dream. The son, Jorge Miguel Graça Lourenço, developed the viticulture, created the wines and structured the company as we know it today. It is a story of passion, struggle, entrepreneurial ability and a deep love of the land, illustrated by a small family business with 45 hectares of vineyards and wine brands that begin to reach the four corners of the world. VINILOURENÇO is situated in the small village of Poço do Canto, Meda municipality, in the heart of the Douro Superior. Since the 1980s, the Lourenço Family has been acquiring several properties in the Douro Superior. Horácio Lourenço after returning from Angola, idealized an imaginary triangle for the location of his vineyards. At the beginning of the 2000’s, Jorge Lourenço, with only 18 years, was responsible for modernizing the 25 hectares of vineyards already planted, selecting new grape varieties to expand the area of vineyards, structuring the company to vinify the grapes and commercialize the produced wines. In the last 10 years, the company's growth has been unstoppable, due to the quality and originality of its wines, where the recovery of the Douro's old grape varieties have forged the image of the brands and the recognition of VINILOURENÇO. Currently the company has 45 hectares of vineyards, spread over the counties of Meda and Vila Nova de Foz Côa. The dispersion of the various plots of vineyards in the Poço do Canto, Vale da Teja and Pocinho, with a great diversity of climate, altitude - between 160 and 700 m - and soils, shale in the lowlands and shale/granite in the highest lands, allow the creation of very diverse wines. Harvesting time lasts for more than a month and a half, but the distinct behavior of the same grape varieties planted in different locations offers an enormous versatility of wine styles.
