About us

Company details

Viña Santa Marina was founded in 1999 by Álvaro De Alvear. Currently, it is some of his children and nephews who run it. A family winery focused on the terroir, with small plots planted with native grape varieties (Montúa and Tempranillo) and others of French origin (Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah or Petit Verdot).
A history of more than 300 years where the Alvear family and their terroir have been intrinsically united and today produce exceptional wines in Viña Santa Marina.

We produce excellent white and red wines, among which outlight our dry white made with Montúa and our sweet white made with Viognier, exclusive late vintage (unique in Spain). And delicious red wines aged 4 to 16 months in French and American oak barrels. All with important recognitions and, even two of them, with Robert Parker scores (91).
