Braastad VS

An amber-colored VS with some longer-aged brandy from Bon Bois and Fin Bois in the blend. More drinkable than most VS, offering fairly straightforward baked pastry and dessert aromas and flavors, along with sweet notes of vanilla cream and milk chocolate. (40% abv).

Braastad VSOP

An opulent style of VSOP from Fin Bois, aged four to eight years and deep amber in color. Big aromas of dried flowers, dried fruit and pastry on the nose, which gives way to a creamy palate of dried fig and raisin with notes of baking spice and pepper, and a finish full of milk chocolate. Decent value for a cognac that could be sipped or mixed in a cocktail. (40% abv)

Braastad XO

With an age of 10 to 18 years, Braastad XO Fine Champagne is dark amber in color and has a bold nose with hints of rancio: roasted nuts, leather and cedar balanced by dried fruit. In the mouth, there are chocolate-hazelnut notes reminiscent of Nutella, as well as dried plum. Rich and unctuous at midpalate, with a long creamy finish. An opulent, old-fashioned sort of Cognac. Braastad Organic VSOP

Sourced from four appellations and aged four to eight years, Braastad’s organic bottling is brighter, with more finesse, than its standard VSOP. Light amber in color, with aromas of white flowers, orange and almond blossom. In the mouth, there’s a welcome freshness, flavors of orange peel, pear and nutmeg, and a finish of solid length for a VSOP. Good value. (40% abv)

Braastad Extra

“The pride of the Braastad family” is a blend of 50- to 90-year-old eaux-de-vie. Dark copper with brown tinge. The fragrant nose opens with nostalgic, haunting floral and mineral aromas, like dried flowers in a yearbook or the memory of a tryst in a hidden garden, and a lingering hint of pipe smoke and perfume. On the palate, it’s surprisingly delicate and full of finesse, lithe and angular, with attractive stone fruit, roasted nuts, complex spice and a profound rancio finish.

About us

Company details

The Maison Tiffon is run by the Braastad family which runs the estate in the traditional way: they grow their own vines, make their own wines and distil their own cognacs. Maison Tiffon owns a 40ha vineyard located in the Grande Champagne and Fins Bois crus. Five generations after the founder of the Tiffon company, the descendants still produce cognac respecting the family secrets and tradition. Today, the Braastad family is in charge of Tiffon Cognacs & Braastad Cognacs and takes care of the production of their vines, the harvest, the distillation of the cognac and the ageing of this liquid nectar in the humid cellars near the river Charente. The Tiffon house has barrels of cognacs of different vintages and different ages which are currently being aged. The cellar master, Richard Braastad, keeps a traceability of each cognac and uses his memory and his olfactory and gustatory senses to remember the blending recipes.
