VALDECUEVAS VERDEJO

100% Verdejo white wine in the classic style.

Made entirely of Verdejo grapes from LA PARDINA estate, our older and less productive vineyards. These vineyards are located on more stony soil, which promotes the proper maturation and balance of our harvest.

At the winery, we keep pursuing the preservation of the variety, with maceration and controlled fermentation and subsequent aging on lees for 3 months.
Limited Production: 40,000-70,000 bottles.

VALDECUEVAS CUVÉE

100% Verdejo. Blending of different elaborations.

Made entirely of Verdejo grapes from LA PARDINA estate, it is the perfect combination of own varietal aromas of the Verdejo grape with those released from the ageing in oak. Fermentation with native yeasts in 500 liters and 1200 liters French oak barrels. It is aged on lees for 3 months in the barrel and stabilized in stainless micro tanks afterwards. 2 months of ageing in the bottle before it is released.
Limited production: 5,000-7,000 bottles.

VALDECUEVAS FERMENTED IN BARRELS

100% Verdejo, Fermented in barrels.

Made entirely of Verdejo grapes from LA PARDINA estate, fermented in French oak barrels of 500 liters, where it is aged on lees for 7 months, over which there has been a weekly “batonage”, resulting in an elegant and robust wine, where the varietal provides freshness, and the oak a very interesting complexity.
Limited production: 3,000-5,000 bottles.

VALDECUEVAS ROSÉ

90% Tempranillo and 10% Verdejo. A particular and complexed rosé.

The Tempranillo grapes come from a 30 years old vineyard with 4 hectares.
The Tempranillo grape is macerated 8 hours in cold and only the first flow of the must is used, which is blended with a small percentage of Verdejo must, then the blend is fermented at 15ºC afterwards. The resulting wine is divided in 2 parts. One of them is aged on lees for 3 months in stainless micro tanks, and the other in large oak barrels. Final “ensamblage” of both elaborations.
Limited production: 4,000-7,000 bottles.

VALDECUEVAS ÁLIUM

100% Tempranillo. A small production of a great red wine.
Ageing in French oak barrels of 500 liters for 12 months, and 1 more year in the bottle before being released.

The great personality of this wine lies in the combination of different clones of Tempranillo, coming from a 2 hectares vineyard planted 55 years ago, surrounded by a sea of Verdejo vineyard, and which vines gift us with a small production of Tempranillo with high concentration.
Limited production: 2,000-3,000 bottles.

FLOR INNATA

90% Verdejo, 10% Sauvignon Blanc

A wine made from the coupages of grapes from different states, all situated in an environment no more than 4 kilometers from the cellar.
Cold skin maceration and fermentation which will favor obtaining a very fresh wine, with a pleasant taste on the palate. Final ageing on its own lees for several months, providing a major unctuosity and volume in the mouth.

We look for a very fruity nose and a robust palate.  A rosé with the soul of a red wine.

DIWINE FRIZZANTE

Verdejo and Gewürztraminer. Must of partially fermented grape.
Must of partially fermented grape and with low alcohol content. Fermentation is stopped early on with cold. The result is a pleasant and refreshing drink with fine bubbles with 5.5 % alcohol.

Company details

The Martin family has been working in the agrofood sector for more than 70 years, and during this time they have shown the gastronomical wealth of their region, a place with an undeniable value: Castile and Leon.

In 2013 the 3rd generation of the family, led by a deep respect and an absolute believe in the product, embarks on a thrilling project:

  • To elaborate one of the best Extra Virgin Olive Oils of the world.
  • To become a winery of reference along Rueda appellation, very well known for the Verdejo indigenous grape.
| VINEYARD & WINERY |

 Valdecuevas vineyard lies in the heart of Rueda appellation at 770 metres above sea level, where the work developed in the terroir is the key, treating the indigenous grape “Verdejo” with special and particular care so as to show the maximum expression of this variety.

We count on 125 hectares (310 acres), divided in 6 different “pagos”, all of them located at less than 10 kms from the winery, in the municipalities of Rueda, La Seca and Nava del Rey, placed at the so called “Golden Triangle” of Rueda appellation.


The boutique “bodega”, built within the “pago LA PARDINA”
, is a new building equipped with modern and versatile production systems which gives us great opportunities to produce an exceptional wine, being respectful at the same time with the identity and wealth of our estates.
