The family's winegrowing tradition started around 1950 in the Cembra Valley with Ignazio Moser who started tending a few rows of white grapevines. In the 70's with the help of his sons, Francesco and Diego, the first bottles of Trentodoc were produced and finally in the 90's the family winery moved to its present location, Maso Villa Warth.
Today the Moser team includes the family as a whole: Francesco with his sons and daughter Carlo, Francesca and Ignazio as well as Matteo, his nephew.
The vineyards of the Moser winery cover 17 hectares that lie in three different areas which are distinctive for their specific winegrowing qualities: the terraced vineyards around Giovo in the Cembra Valley, as well as the area around Sorni, near Lavis but ost of the vineyards, lie in the natural amphitheatre of land around Maso Warth on the hills above Trento.
Moser wines are typical of Trentino, starting with its white wines – Moscato Giallo, Riesling, Gewürztraminer- or the reds like Teroldego and Lagrein. It is with its Trentodoc sparkling wines that Moser fully expresses the potential of its vineyards on the hills above Trento and in Val di Cembra.
