Clementi Valpolicella Classica Wines

Clementi Gnirega is a family winery in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, and in our 13 hectares we create a small
production of natural wines, in a very traditional Valpolicella’s wine-making way:
Amarone, Ripasso, Valpolicella Classico Superiore, Cà del Giovane IGT, and Loto, a sublime sweet red wine.
All our wines feature the five native and classical grape varieties of Valpolicella: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella,
Molinara and Oseleta.
The quality of our wines is helped by the excellent location of our fields, on the hills at 250/400 mt a.s.l., where grapes
grow and mature in an ideal setting: the soil, the sun, the gentle climate.
We produce a small quantity of bottles of natural wine every year. Our wine’s flavours and aromas are produced in very
traditional methods and are refined in oak barrels and barriques, to reach the right balance of flavours, preserving and
exalting the intense full-bodied aromas of the fruits, herbs and spices of our land.
Our production, of 20.000 bottles per year, follows the rules of the sustainable Grape and Wine Production Protocol (R.R.R. Certification) of Consorzio Tutela Vini Valpolicella. Our winery is a member of Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti.

Clementi Valpolicella Classica Ripasso Superiore DOC 2016

Valpolicella - The Ripasso Clementi si made with Valpolicella grapes, harvested by hand and pressed in September/October. In February the wine is added to the grape skins used to make the Amarone, for a period of 10 days, triggering a second short fermentation. The result is a unique red wine, with aromas of fruit jam, cherries, marasca and vanilla. Aromas of dried fruit and spices derive from the “ripasso” process on the amarone marcs. It is a full-bodied, elegant, complex and velvety wine.

Clementi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2011

Valpolicella - A traditional Valopolicella Classico, Amarone Clementi is made with the best grapes of the season, selected and harvested by hand, put to dry in small wood boxes, plateaux, for three months to increase the percentage of aromatic and phenolic compounds. The result is a deep ruby red and intense wine, with a bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, cherry jam, marasca plum and dried fruits, and a scent of spices, cinnamon and nutmeg. For its unique flavours, it is considered a “meditation wine”.
