Mascaró GIN9

Since three generations our family has been dedicated to the distillation of Premium Spirits.

Antonio Mascaró distilled during many years a Dry Gin with fine alcohols and berries of “Juniperus Communis”  that he picked in the mountains near Vilafranca: That Dry-Gin won the confidence of a large group of  Gin-Tonic lovers.

Today we have recovered his receipt and Gin MASCARÓ “9” spring up powerful, elegant and sophisticated.

Very delicate and versatile Gin ideal for preparing high quality classic cocktails.

This is the ideal London Dry Gin for Gin&Tonic lovers

 TASTING:
· As this liquor has not been aged, it is completely clear and brilliant.
· On the nose it has powerful classic and fine juniper aromas with hints of fresh citric notes
· On the palate it is elegant and spicy with hints of black pepper coming through.  Clean and lingering finish.

 SERVICE:

Brandy VINTAGE Parrellada

Since 1946, the Mascaró family has been dedicating to producing premium quality brandy, cava and wine taking care of the completed production processes, from the vineyard until the bottling. Therefore, we made wines specially conceived for distilling.

 In our distillery, at Vilafranca del Penedès, we distil in copper pot stills by the traditional Charentais Method of Double Distillation wines of traditional grape varieties from our area.

 The grape variety used in the Brandy Vintage is Parellada, typical from the area of our estate. This is a grape variety with low alcohol content and high acidity, a good basis for wines distilled to make brandy.

 The wine spirit has been aging in 300 liters French oak casks.

El Brandy MASCARÓ Vintage shows the variability of different vintages. Every batch of production has different characteristics, depending on the variety and the vintage: we are faced with a Brandy for sommeliers.
 

TASTING NOTES:
· Amber color with golden hits
· Subtle vanilla aroma, coffee and hazelnut with essence of fine distilled
 · Balanced on the palate, spiced and with hints of fine wood coming through. Long and elegant aftertaste.

BRANDY X.O. EGO

Since 1946 Mascaró family has taken care of controlling the quality of its products throughout all the production process.

In our distillery located in Vilafranca del Penedès (Spain) we distill wines made from local varieties from our estates using the double distillation technique. The wine distillate is called “holland”.
The wines of different varieties are distilled separately and they age also separately in French oak barrels of 300 liters.
Then the master distiller performs different types of mixed “hollands” (wine distillate) that will result in this excellent brandy.

TASTING
Old gold color with hints of mahogany.
Powerful aroma, rich and smooth with hints of vanilla, spice and fine wood. Structured and interesting complexity.
Is powerful when you taste it, wiht creamy notes of roasted nuts and spicy background. The finish is soft and elegant, with excellent balance and great persistence.

At Mascaró we are brandy craftsmen and we believe that the essence of a product is in its origin. That is the reason why we make brandy Ego and other distilled with grapes from our own vineyards, located in the Penedès region (Spain). 

The grapes we use for our brandies are pressed and vinified in the cellar separated from the rest, as we seek for little alcoholic wines with high acidity and aromas in each variety.

Following the double distillation technique, we distill and age separately the “holland” (wine distilled) of each variety and year, using a manual technique that allows us to give our products a unique personality.

Ego brandy is aged for a minimum of 8 years in Limousin oak barrels, in a process that is totally controlled by a winemaker of the Mascaró family.

The blending operation, the combination of different “hollands” (wines distilled) is handmade so we can obtain a very personal and appreciated brandy in order to satisfy our customers expectations.

Brandy PRIVÉ

Brandy MASCARÓ Prive is elaborated with wine spirits of Parellada . This variety, traditional in the Penedès area gives elegance and delicacy to this exceptional Brandy.

 TASTING:
·  Rich amber colour with golden glints.
· On the nose there are wonderful aromas of vanilla and hazelnut.
· On the palate it is lively and silky with hints of fine wood coming through, presenting a good length.

SERVICE:
Serve between 16º and 18ºC

PAIRINGS:
Its silky and creamy character goes perfectly with the bitterness and flavours of desserts elaborated with chocolate and also with the coffee.

Brandy V.O. Fine Marivaux

 TASTING:
· Clean Amber colour with golden glints.
· On the nose there are satisfying aromas of dried fruit and cacao.
· On the palate it is full-bodied with a good balance between the spirit and the oak.  It is well rounded with a lingering finish.

 SERVICE:
Serve between 16º and 18ºC

 PAIRINGS:
This brandy goes fantastically well with coffee or on its own with a chunk of ice.

Marc Orujo

Since 1946, our family has been dedicated to producing premium quality Brandy, Cava and wine.  From the beginning our founder Antonio Mascaró, insisted on complete control from “vineyard to bottle”. 

This Spirit is the result of distilling the grape pomace, also called “Marc”. The pomace is the residue remaining after the initial grape pressing.

The skins contain both the colour and original aromas that identity each grape varietals. Through the process of distillation we obtain a spirit that concentrates these essences.

 Aged for a minimum of 6 years in Limousin oak barrels.

The result is this pleasant, fine and long liqueur

 TASTING:
·  Pale golden colour with green glints. Clear and brilliant.
· There are powerful oaky aromas with pleasant white fruits.
· On the palate it is lively and rounded. It is full-bodied with a good balance between the oak and the fruit of the spirit, with a lingering finish.

 SERVICE:
Serve between 16º and 18ºC It can also be drank with a chunk of ice.

PAIRINGS:
Its roundness and oaky character goes very well with desserts prepared with cream, nuts and chocolate.
Do not hesitate to try it with coffee.

Mascaró ORANGE LIQUEUR

Our Orange Liqueur has been made since 1946 using the original recipe created by Narciso Mascaró, the founder of MASCARÓ who’s principal aim was to preserve the essence kept in the skin of this Mediterranean fruit and though a careful distillation process to capture the finest and most delicate flavours.

 The special love and care we take to produce this exquisite liquor makes it rich, lively and velvety

TASTING:
· Clear and crystalline
· On the nose it is powerful and delicate at the same time maintaining the freshness and fruity hints of the bitter sweet oranges used during the distillation.
· A wonderful citrus palate, with hints of marmalade, and a zesty lingering finish.

SERVICE:
Serve between 16º and 18ºC and also on ice.

 PAIRINGS:
This Orange Liquor can be use for preparing cakes and desserts. It goes very well with creams and ice-creams, and can be used for flambeing

Vermouth SISET

Since 1946 Mascaró family has taken care of controlling the quality of its products throughout all the production process from “vineyard to bottle”.

 The wine used to produce this vermouth is Parellada and comes from our estate "Mas Miquel ", formerly owned by the Cistercian monks from the nearby monastery of Santes Creus (Tarragona).

 To produce this vermouth we use holandas (wine spirit) aged on oak barrels bought by Narciso Mascaró, who was popularly known as "Siset" and was the founder of the company. The holandas are distilled from Ugni Blanc grape variety.
The taste and aroma characteristic of the vermouth provides a set of plant species including the gender artemisia, juniper and orange peel, among others.
 
TASTING:
· Clear and bright with caoba colour and some hints of amber.
· On the nose it displays aromas such as dry and aromatic herbs, liquorice and reminiscence of balsamic notes.
· High intensity on the palate with a very well balance between acidity and bitterness. With a touch of sweetness and a light bitter at the end. Long, intense and fresh finish thanks to the predominant orange and citric fruit aromas.

 SERVICE:
Ideal temperature: 8-10 ºC. It can also be served on ice.

 PAIRINGS:
Ideal to serve on ice with a twist of orange or grapefruit.
Perfect for the aperitif time or as a base for cocktails as Americano or Negroni.
