Manon - Côtes de Provence Rosé

Produced in the heart of the Côtes de Provence, Manon is the result of a careful selection of the very best plots in the appellation. Its emblem is the olive tree as a reference to the terroir of our Rosé wines nestled between the sea and the land and set in the midst of Mediterranean landscapes.

Blending and aging is entrusted to our teams of enthusiastic specialists who are keen to express the typicity and authenticity of the terroir. This expert task is orchestrated by our in-house oenologist Pierre Vieillescazes and Philippe Cambie our consulting oenologist.

Chantrose - Côtes de Provence Rosé

CHANTROSE was created in order to propose a premium quality rosé that is truly representative of the best Côtes de Provence rosé wines of the appellation.

To this effect, we have selected vineyard plots with an average age of 20 to 25 years that are implanted on soils composed of limestone for part and essentially of crystalline origin for the rest. These poor soils are well drained and it this shallow ground with little humidity that enables the vines to yield excellent quality grapes for winemaking.

The warm temperatures inherent to the Mediterranean climate vary from one vineyard to another due to the diversity in landform and the amount of sunshine they enjoy. Variations in soil geology are also important. These desirable natural features are optimized to their full potential when tending to the vineyards and contribute to the complex aromatic palette of the different wines that compose the CHANTROSE blend. In vinifying this rosé wine our oenologist Pierre Vieillescazes has worked with rigor and great care to offer a result that represents its most beautiful expression.

Costeval - Coteaux d'Aix en Provence - Rosé

In the local patois COSTEVAL means ‘between hill and valley’. Its origins refer both to the unique terroir and the river that contribute to forge its identity.

The Rhône valley has always been a privileged passageway between the Mediterranean region and Northern Europe. In the 8th Century upon returning from the Albigeois crusades, some of the Knights chose the hillsides of the Rhône Valley to grow vines. In the 14th century, the popes – keen connoisseurs of wine – took up residence in Avignon. They proved to be enthusiastic advocates of the wines produced in the region. The quality and reputation of the Côtes du Rhône wines was solidly established. Over the centuries, the reputation of Rhone valley vineyards continued to expand.

The typical nature of the terroirs (composed of a mix of granite, sandy silica, limestone and clay etc,) associated with the varied and unique climate, confer to the wines a complex aromatic and gustative palette that is most appreciated by wine connoisseurs.

Rigorously monitored, selected and sourced by our expert oenologist from our partner winegrowers, the wines that compose the COSTEVAL blend create a Côtes du Rhône product that is authentic, boasting constant quality whilst preserving the specificity of each of the individual vintages.

Jas des Vignes - IGP Alpes de Haute Provence

Jas des Vignes, litterally “sheep-fold of the vines” is a selection of the best vineyards on the hills, close to the village of Manosque, at the heart of the Alpes de Haute Provence.

The climate here, while exhibiting characteristics of the Mediterranean type, is moderated significantly by the presence of the Alps and the rather high altitude of the vineyards. Hot, sunny summer days are followed by much cooler nights as air from the Alps descends into the vineyards. As a result, wines from this appellation are lighter and known to be more aromatic than the richer, more supple wines from lower-lying vineyards to the south.

JAS DES VIGNES rosé is the result of a rigorous production method, mindful of constantly offering the very best of the appellation.

About us

Company details

RAVOIRE & FILS is an independent family-owned company specialised in wines from the Rhône Valley and Provence regions of France. Heir to secular savoir-faire, today our establishment exports to approximately 50 countries.

With our in-depth knowledge of the vineyards and wine-growers and with the experience acquired through hundreds of tastings carried out year round of each of the appellations, we endeavour to identify the best plots in order to implement with the owners a specific management plan for the vines that is the result of daily observations and is respectful of the environment; down to the tasting of the grapes themselves to determine the best date for the harvests. This approach aims to achieve optimal ripening of the grapes, the highest concentration of aromas in the fruits, as well as the expression of terroirs that illustrate their appellations, the finality being a quest for balance.

Over the course of the years close partnerships have developed into relationships based on trust that ensure long-lasting and sustainable commitment with our partner wine-growers. However, we also remain open to new encounters and expressions.
