Organic viticulture We are committed to preserving our land for future generations: Domaine Louis Max in Mercureyand Rully is one of the largest organic Domaines in Burgundy. With Chateau Pech Latt in the Corbières and Domaine la Lyre in the Côtes du Rhône, we are owners of more than 230 hectares of vineyards – all are farmed organically. To produce the best wines, you need the best grapes. Thats why we chose organic viticulture, which is one of the fundamental principles of Maison Louis Max. Since the early 1990s this has been a guiding principle of the House.
There are two objectives to our organic viticulture: protection of the environment, and quality enhancement. Organic viticulture allows us to focus on the quality rather than quantity, while protecting our soils and terroir. Sustainability is the key – we want to ensure the Domaine will be passed on to future generations in a better condition than ever.
