Our Kingston Echelon range showcases some of the best fruit we bring into the winery each vintage. Only wines of exceptional fruit vibrancy and flavour intensity are selected for Echelon, wines that have superb drinkability now as well as the ability to age beautifully.
It was in the 1990s that Bill Moularadellis, Kingstons founder and chief winemaker, pioneered Petit Verdot in the Riverland after noticing that wines that contained the variety stood out with exceptional colour, vibrancy and weight. It has since become Kingstons signature variety and our Petit Verdots have gone on to win numerous trophies and gold medals around the world.
Petit Verdot is a late ripening variety (the name translates to the little green one) and struggles to ripen in its European homeland. We have extensive plantings in deep sandy soils on limestone adjacent to the winery, where the grapes are able to reach full ripeness and intensity.
This elegant Petit Verdot displays layers of bright berry fruit and herbs on the nose which follow through onto the palate which, along with well integrated oak, gives way to a generous finish.

The cool climate region of the Adelaide Hills overlooks the city of Adelaide, where the high altitudes of the vineyards impact the grape growing temperature and rainfall. The cool conditions allow fuller ripening and provide enhanced flavours and colour for a quality Pinot Gris.

PALATE Flavours of fresh nashi pear with green apple, nicely balanced with a crisp and clean finish.
As an innovator of Petit Verdot, Bill has drawn upon Australias largest single planting of this European variety after pioneering Kingstons planting in the 1990s. Bill pioneering legacy was instrumental in the Riverland earning its repute as the signature growing region of Australian Petit Verdot.
Sourced exclusively from our own vineyards, this wine is the natural expression of the soil and micro-climate in which it is grown.

My parents Nina and Steve are both Greek immigrants to Australia and met each other while picking grapes in the Riverland in 1961. They soon bought a plot of land on which to build a farming business and in 1965 they proudly picked the first grapes off their own vineyard.
I grew up amongst these vines, learning the family business before founding the winery next to our vineyard in 1985. Our winemaking style quickly struck a chord as we began exporting our wines around the world, finding particular early success in the UK and Canada.
From these beginnings we have grown to become one of Australias most significant wine exporters and grape growers, strongly focused on long term relationships with customers around the world and building our reputation for quality, reliability and continuous improvement.
Nina and Steve still can still be found at the winery on most days while I continue to run the winery and vineyards. My wife Ivanka looks after key export customers while our three daughters have the Mo Sisters Vineyard. I look forward to the day they start adding their own chapters to our familys journey in wine.
The winery was built in 1985 on the corner of the family property next to our original vineyard as well as the family home.
Today the winery can be considered two wineries in one: the original winery and the modern extension.
The original winery is where we make our small batch super premium wines giving us the flexibility and control to develop parcels of wine into exciting styles that truly reflect the varieties and regions from which they come.
As Australias bulk wine specialist, we are a leading exporter of wine to all corners of the world. We make a wide range of varietals and blends at quality levels ranging from dry grown single vineyard through to commercial, sourced from our diverse portfolio of vineyards.
BULK WINE SUPPLY We dispatch over 50 million litres of wine each year and as bulk wine specialists, most of this is exported in 24,000L flexi tanks (we fill and ship between 50 and 70 each week).
Through our diverse supply of fruit, our large scale winery and experienced team, we offer reliable, sustainable and consistent bulk wine supply at all quality levels.
We can supply customer needs from one tank of super premium cool climate Shiraz or 50 tanks of SEA Chardonnay drawn down over 12 months.
