Founded in East Berlin in 1994, today Rammstein is regarded as one of the most successful international bands, achieving 7-digit album and DVD sales. In the course of their 20-year career, the musicians were nominated twice for the Grammy, headlined all major music festivals and sold out arenas all over the world. Still with all its original members, Rammsteins status as an unrivaled live band is due to its unique (trying to copy it is not recommended) stage show: a fierce rock opera – dramatic, spectacular, epic in scale and touching all senses; a dark fairy tale pervaded with controversy and the all-consuming smell of benzine.
This Rammstein rum is a balanced blend of Jamaican and Guyanese pot still rum and coloumn still rum from Trinidad. Guyanese and Jamaican rums are valued by masterblenders and experts alike for their heavy bodies and deep aromas. The strong characters of both pot still rums are tamed by the elegant nature og their Trinidadian counterpart. Rammstein Rum has matured in ex-Bourbon barrels for up to 12 years, which gives the rum a hint of wooden smokiness and a warm amber colour.

The strength of White Overproof is 63% alc. Overproof, the term for high alcohol level, named so to categorize this rum. In Jamaica Overproof White rum accounts for around 90% of all rum sales. If you one day go to Jamaica, and 63% isnt strong enough for you, there are several “rum shacks” that will be happy to sell you something stronger from under the counter and albeit not so legal.
The nose on Rum-Bar White Overproof is very powerful, due to the 100% Pot Still feature. It is full on Jamaican funk and almost like freshly cut sugar cane. It has a fragrance of sweet alcohol mixed with freshly cut grass. The taste is fruity and powerful. White Overproof is perfect in coctails with its 63% alc. With the rum being so intense and full of flavour it pairs very well with a variety of fruit juices.

Kwame is a kind and peaceful soul. Everyone feels comfortable around Kwame. In the local language, Twi, each person has an additional local name that refers to the weekday he/she was born. Nose: This brandy is a little shy in the beginning but reveals a heavy sweetness with notes of fresh apples and vanilla after a few minutes. The sweetness is paired with some delicate freshness but is definitely less acidic than its acquaintance Nana. It does, however, show a similar spicy note in the end. Palate: Mild with a pleasant flavor of sweet apples. This brandy is very balanced in taste and is an easy sipper.
1423 – World Class Spirits is established in 2008. It all started when we went to a whisky fair in Denmark. At that time, we only drank whiskey, but a rum seller at the fair convinced us to taste his rum. From that moment, we realized the unique and fantastic universe of rum. We were so driven by the rum and so impressed that we decided to buy our own casks. We found a cask from Trinidad. At that time, we were three – Bintu, Joshua and Glenn. But shortly before the release of our rum, Parminder joined us. Our first rum was bottled in November 2008 and ready for release in the start of 2009. We celebrated it with family and friends at Bar Rar in Odense, Denmark.
After the release, we started contacting different rum producers. We needed to find someone who believed in a small upcoming business. The first producer was Ron Centenario from Costa Rica and then Bristol Spirits from the UK. From the start, Thomas has been helping us at the sideline and in 2012 he finally joined us. He is trained accountant and he helped us changed the firm from BJG to 1423 Aps. 1423 is named after our first rum back in 2008.
Today we are one of the fastest growing distributors of premium liquor in Denmark. Our business is built on the principles that quality, price, service and hard work walk hand in hand. When we started working with spirit we soon realized that consumers wanted more and better quality then the market could offer. Our mission is to provide quality and world class spirits to all – both through our own products and through old and established products. We only thrive today because of our partners all over the world and the talent of people working with and for 1423.
