Appellation Crémant D'Alsace Contrôlée
Cépage: 100% Pinot Blanc
GRAND C Brut has been produced according to the ‘méthode traditionnelle’ with utmost care, using solely the first pressing from Pinot Blanc grapes, which have been handpicked.
The ageing time for GRAND C Brut is 24 months. The colour is brilliant with golden reflexes. The bubbles are fine and persistent.
The nose is discreet, floral flavours of lime blossoms and citrus fruits are combined with delicate aroma of pear and quint. The taste is pleasant and fresh.
GRAND C Brut is an elegant and perfectly balanced Crémant of great finesse.

GRAND C Vintage Extra Brut

GRAND C VINTAGE EXTRA BRUT is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes of a single, exceptional vintage. The maturity period is at least 36 months on the lees. Therefore this Crèmant d’Alsace is partularly complex and elegant.
The color is golden yellow. The nose is fresh and fruity, white fruits, mango, white flowers and some citrus, then aromas of almonds, brioche and fresh yeast bread.
On the palate first the fine mousseux impresses, then freshness, complexity and a long finish also with aromas of white fruits, some citrus, almond and lees.
GRAND C VINTAGE EXTRA BRUT is a complex and elegant Crémant with a very harmonious structure.

GRAND C Pinot Gris Extra Sec is made exclusively from handpicked Pinot Gris grapes. The maturity period is 18 months on the lees. GRAND C Pinot Gris Extra Sec stands out for its exceptional freshness and fruitiness.
Fresh and fruity notes of apple, pear, some citrus and apricot; complemented by floral and spicy notes, fine minerality.
The palate is fresh and lively, slightly spicy and dense with very fine bubbles.

Color: Rich gold.
Nose: Complex, exotic, spicy, lychee, mango, rose
The taste is flavourful with rich aromas and distinctive notes of ripe tropical fruits, flowers and spicery. At the same time this Gewurztraminer is particularly fresh and elegant.
He harmonises very well with foie gras, cheese, asian food or desserts.

Company details

Two wine specialists with different individual background have put their ideas together and developed GRAND C
Axel Wulfken, formerly Marketing Director of Moet-Hennessy, is the founder and Managing Director of GRAND C
Jacques Cattin is one of the most acknowledged winegrowers from the Alsace. His wines and Crémants have been awarded frequently.
The domaine Joseph Cattin, located in Voegtlinshoffen near Colmar, is a family owned estate of 60 hectares.
The vineyards lie on the foothill of the Vosges, the attitude varies from 200m to 400m mostly facing south and south east and thus getting a maximum of sunlight. Soils are mainly dominated by shell limestone, granite, lome and clay. Overall ideal conditions to produce excellent wines and crémants.
