Château Fleur Haut Gaussens 2016 - Bordeaux Supérieur

This wine has a beautiful dark ruby color. Expressive, the nose reveals the purity of black fruits like blackberry and cherry. On the palate the woody very finely melted and well integrated brings an unexpected silky. Powerful and well balanced, the tannic structure mingles with the accuracy of the fruit giving this wine all its personality. Elegant and delicate, this wine brings a beautiful composition final. The silky dominates this wine throughout the tasting. A wine full of personality, finesse with excellent aging potential. +/- 10 years.

The nose is pure and elegant with blackberry and blueberry aromas and just the right amount of smokiness. The attack is precise, and the wine progressively gets bigger, reaching a very sophisticated balance between the quality of the tannins, body, flavors and freshness. The palate is full, generous and suave. It displays an array of ripe blackberries, blond tobacco, peppery spices and plush, sweet tannins. A tannic backbone leads to a complex, long and elegant wine.

The 2016 Bergeronnette is a pure Cabernet Franc made from the same Cabernet Franc vines which go into the Bordeaux Supérieur from Fleur Haut Gaussens. It has a feisty bouquet with hints of green bell pepper which permeate the « punchy » black fruit that requires attention. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy black fruit. There is a keen line of acidity that guarantees the wine feels fresh and precise all the way through to the finish.

Château Fleur Haut Gaussens Grand Vin is the cuvée haute couture of the Château. From the best plots of the property; The blend is 1/3 Merlot, 1/3 Cabernet Franc, 1/3 Malbec.
The color is clear and of surprising purplish color, the nose reveals pure aromas and an unexpected finesse of slightly peppery violet and blackcurrant jam taking you straight back to childhood. Elegant, fine, pure, fresh and feminine, there are so many characteristics that harmonize perfectly within this wines beautiful structure, with melted, seductive and delicate tannins carry through to a long finish.
