Côtes de Bourg Red
AOC: Côtes de Bourg

Grape Varieties: Merlot

History: Camillac refers to a place, located at the heart of the Côtes de Bourg vineyard, in the North of the Bordeaux region. People say that back in the 18th century, Louis-Henri de Bourbon, The Duke of Bourbon and its family, used to rest in a mansion in Camillac. They particularly enjoyed the peacefulness around the estuary area, away from the bustle of the Royal Court. Today the Royal class and spirits  remains through the fine wines that are produced.

Tasting Notes:
Camillac has a deep and shiny ruby color, with purple highlights.
The nose is expressive with aromas of red fruits and some spicy notes.

On the palate, the attack is round. This wine is wellbalanced, with soft tannins and unveils an aromatic bouquet of black cherry, blackcurrant with some
menthol and grey pepper notes.

Wine and Food Pairing: White and red meat, cheese, spicy dishes...

Research & Development
Les Vignerons de Tutiac  continuously modernize to meet different standards and consumer demands.

“Satisfy today’s needs whilst preserving our future generations”

This spirit inspired us to respond and be granted a project appeal by the Ministry of Agriculture. An important part of the project, entitled “Ecologically efficient and viable winegrowing”, was the plantation of an experimental vineyard. Its main purpose is research in French winegrowing, but it also serves as a teaching tool for our winegrowers. This vineyard allows us to conduct different trials on grape varieties and various methods of conduct of our vineyard. We combine expertise and environment preservation to naturally enhance biodiversity, limit inputs and protect our resources.

Les Vignerons de Tutiac
Les Vignerons de Tutiac are 450 enthusiastic winegrowers who work together and was founded on common values of cooperation, support and friendliness.

Over the years, we have continuously adapted to consumer demands by becoming true experts of our terroirs, modernizing our production tools but also by keeping human at the heart of each project.

A close knowledge of every single of our winegrower’s plots allows us to work each cuvée with extreme precision. Each plot is clearly defined depending on its exposure, soil, underground, rootstock, variety, vine’s ages, density…

All these aspects will define the way we work our vineyards in order to obtain the best expression of our terroir to provide vintage after vintage quality wines for all.
