Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux

The Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (CIVB or Bordeaux Wine Council), founded in 1948, represents the three families of the Bordeaux wine industry: winegrowers, wine merchants and brokers.
As such, the CIVB has 3 missions:

Marketing: develop the notoriety of Bordeaux wines in France and abroad through advertising campaigns, digital communications, public and press relations, and training
Economic: acquiring data and improving knowledge relating to the production, the markets and the sale of Bordeaux wines throughout the world.
Technical: improve the industry's understanding of various technical issues relating to the production and quality of Bordeaux wines and anticipate new environment – and health-related requirements.

Der Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (CIVB oder Bordeaux Weinverband) wurde 1948 gegründet, und repräsentiert drei Säulen der Bordeaux Weinindustrie: Winzer, Weinhändler und Makler.

Als solches hat der CIVB drei Aufträge:

Marketing: Steigerung des Bekanntheitsgrades der Bordeaux Weine in Frankreich und im Ausland durch Werbekampagnen, digitale Kommunikation, Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie Schulungen für die Gastronomie und den Lebensmitteleinzelhandel.
Wirtschaft: Erarbeitung interner Statistiken und Verbesserung der Kenntnisse im Bezug auf die Produktion, die Märkte und den Verkauf von Bordeaux Weinen überall auf der Welt.
Technik: Verbesserung des Verständnisses für diverse technische Abläufe in der Produktion und der Qualitätssicherung von Bordeaux Weinen sowie Hilfestellung bei der Anpassung von Technologien und Produktionsverfahren an neue Umwelt- und Gesundheitsanforderungen.
