Pinot Grigio DOC

Being part of the noble Pinot family, Pinot Grigio is one of the most elegant whites. As one of the most popular Italian white wines, you can also find it in South Tyrol. When grown in the subalpine climate, Pinot Grigio obtains a smoky aroma with a lightly stronger acidity. A strong character, full and mellow, with a warmly floral perfume.
Grape variety: 
Pinot Grigio (also known as Ruländer or Grauburgunder)
Cultivating area: 
Bolzano and Renon; warm alluvium and gravel
Harvest date: 
Early to mid-September
Vinification: 
Gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel; maturation in stainless steel keeps the fresh and crisp.
Tasting notes: 
Color: Brilliant straw yellow with golden hints
Aroma: Fruity with pears and apples, whiff of honey and nuts
Flavor: Full, mellow and elegant
Alcohol*: 
13,5* %vol
Residual sugar*: 
4,5* g/l
Serving temperature: 
10-12 °C (50-54 °F)
Food pairing:

Pinot Nero DOC

Pinot Nero, also called Pinot Noir, originates from Burgundy and has been cultivated in South Tyrol for more than a century. The grapes for this lovely wine, grow in selected vineyards on the slopes around Bolzano, which have been chosen by the head winemaker himself.

Pinot Nero/Blauburgunder
Cultivating area: 
Warm and well-ventilated sites on Renon and in Oberleitach at 500-750m a.s.l. (1640-2460 ft)
Harvest date: 
September
Vinification: 
Fermentation in stainless steel. Partly matured in wooden casks.
Tasting notes: 
Color: Rich ruby red
Aroma: Floral with notes of violets; fruity notes of raspberry and plum; spicy; licorice
Flavor: Medium-bodied, delicious fruitiness and pleasantly incorporated tannin.
Alcohol*: 
13* %vol
Residual sugar*: 
4,2* g/l
Serving temperature: 
16-18 °C (61-64 °F)
Food pairing: 
At its best when paired with seared beef, lamb, duck or pheasant. Delicious with medium-aged cheese.
