Amarone della Valpolicella Docg Classico Nino Zeni
A warm memory of Nino Zeni is in this Amarone della Valpolicella, expressing the perfect relation from a man to his homeland. Only the best grapes only in the best vintages from vineyards always used for the production of Amarone are used for this special wine. A long raisining, a slow fermentation in wooden vats and a soft ageing in barrels of different sizes make this wine unique and distinctive. A wine with a balanced softness, intense and charming with fragrances of dried fruit, chocolate, cinnamon and toasted almonds, it is a wine for special moments with an immense ageing potential.
In 2001 this wine is inserted in the list of DOCG wines and is made of only the best grapes from especially suited vineyards with a high density of vines, giving us the jewel of this wine area. The Bardolino Superiore is aged for approximately one year in barrels of Slavonian oak and has a warm and engaging taste, flavoured and long lasting with typical, slightly fruity fragrances of flowers.
The winerys philosophy lived by Nino Zeni, like the bond with the land, the passion for the vineyard and the attitude in business is pursued today with the same enthusiasm and dedication by his children Fausto, Elena and Federica. The separated vinification of the grapes of the different wine areas is still today one of the fundamentals of our winery, giving our wines local character with high quality. The continuous improvement both in the production processes and in the winerys management made the winery fully eligible to obtain the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 quality certification. The enthusiastic commitment and the constant dedication to the art of winemaking passed on from generation to generation represent still today the principles of a family tradition that continues for over a century.
