An emblematic cuvée, Lanson Black Label owes its name to Victor Lanson, a passionate visionary who in 1937 wished to pay tribute to the key market of the House at the time, Great Britain. Typical of the Lanson style, Black Label has a well-balanced combination of elegance, fruitiness and freshness.
This delicate Champagne, in keeping with the Lanson style, was one of the first rosé champagnes ever created. Today, more than sixty years later, Lansons Rose Label is still one of the most sought-after champagnes with its characteristic freshness, unfaltering originality, and harmonious balance between roundness and freshness.
Green Label is produced using organic grapes grown exclusively on plots from the Malmaison Estate vineyard at Verneuil, in the heart of the Marne valley.
Committed to organic and biodynamic cultivation for many years, the vineyard is dedicated to protecting the ecosystem and respects the balance between soil, plants and humans. Lanson Green Label Organic Champagne fully expresses the qualities and uniqueness of its terroir. Mostly composed of Pinot Noir this wine is a perfect balance between fruitiness and finesse.
Lanson Extra Age Rosé is the result of over fifty years pioneering expertise in the creation of rosé Champagne. This delicate, fresh blend combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from selected Grands Crus vineyards and a marriage of exceptional Lanson vintages.
Blended and then aged at least five years in our cellars, Extra Age Rosé is a generous, rich, full-bodied wine.
The quintessence of the Lanson Style, the Noble Cuvée Brut 2002 Vintage is the incarnation of the excellence of the House expressed in a single year. With its pure lines and remarkable fullness in the mouth, this Champagne captures the Lanson Style perfectly.
“2002 provided wines of exceptional complexity and balance, combining richness of fruit and brilliance of matter wonderfully.”
Both in keeping with the Lanson Style but also more impetuous, the Noble Cuvée Brut Rosé is an invitation to sensual pleasure, a journey amongst a multitude of aromas that will delight the taste buds of discerning enthusiasts.
THE CHOICE FOR RICHNESS Since 1760, the house of Lanson has remained family own. Faithful to its heritage, Lanson Champagnes have always been made the original way, offering an exceptional development of flavors while preserving the natural purity of the fruit. This historical commitment makes Lanson wines more fresh, crisp and elegant with a longer ageing potential. A truly unique style.
THE SEARCH FOR PURITY The freshness and energy that are key to the Lanson style are closely linked to the Houses historic commitment to using a traditional wine-making method, without malolactic fermentation. Lanson emphasises the fruit and the richness of aromas in a search for purity in its wines.
THE ART OF BLENDING Wines from different plots are vinified separately. Through numerous tasting sessions they are assessed and classed according to their aromatic family. Blending is the art of creating a wine that is superior to the sum of its parts. The palette of flavours, and the talent of Winemaker HervéDantan, come together to create the perfect balance of fruitiness, elegance and freshness.
THE TIME FACTOR The richness of the grape varieties and Crus is complemented by the richness of different years. Adding reserve wines helps to amplify the quality of young wines. Non-vintage cuvées are therefore composed of reserve wines and more than 10 different years of harvests, and are left to age in the Cellar for at least three years. The vintage Cuvées take this time to mature and continue to develop their extraordinary aromas. Lanson wines journey through time perfectly.
