Our Company is based in Saint Briac sur Mer, near Saint Malo, In the Northern part of the region. The apples are picked there, in numerous farms from the area, selected in a close range. We decided to work only with local and small apple growers, to stimulate sustainable agriculture when it would be easier to select only a couple of big guns from the area and talk about product only. Our vision is to encourage the small ones.
Our production facility is close to Saint-Malo, and is working with craft methods. We only use 100% pure fresh apples, without any preservative nor additive.
La Flibuste offers a refreshing beverage to the one who are not keen to drink alcohol.
La Flibuste without alcohol is a sparkling apple juice, made with Cider apples. We use the exact same kind of apples as our cider, while changing the proportions in the varieties mix.
Our apples are grinded and pressed, to give us this pure apple juice. We pasteurize it before the fermentation starts, so sugar wont turn into alcohol. We carbonate the apple juice, to have a sweet and refreshing drink, thanks to the balanced acidity of the Cider Apples. The drink tastes like a bite in a fresh fruit, while bubbles enhance the taste and cleanse the palate.
Our product is 100% pure apple juice with no additive nor preservative. The freshness, the pure taste of cider apples, make it the perfect taste for the ones who want to share some conviviality moments without drinking alcohol.
La Flibuste is a well balanced cider, light with a refreshing taste while remaining craft, The color is pale gold, with light bubbles. The foam remains light, and the nose is fruity. The taste is full mouth. A controled and light bitterness and acidity, added to the fruitiness leave a long lasting taste in mouth.
Consumption : Can be drunk for every moment, from aperitif to the dessert.
While being a young kind, Guillaume BUISSON spent his holidays near Vannes in Brittany. Between beaches, moor and orchards, he discovers and fall in love with his environment, the sweet and wild nature of Brittany. He discovers the cider and all the secrets of the fabrication process in the neighbouring farm. A unique beverage, so typical from the place, which memory will be forever linked to this time shared with the family.
Years later, as an International sales director, he becomes a real globe trotter. From Japan to Mexico, with trips in China, Russia, USA or Africa, Guillaume travels the world to export the French Art de Vivre. While working for French companies exporting Cognac or Champagne, he keeps an eye on the global beverage market. He discovers during these travels that despite a huge cider consumption in the world, the French cider remains local, and has very low awareness abroad.
When settling down in Saint Briac, he decides to create his own cider brand, by passion and to travel back in time thanks to the flavours of his childhood. With La Flibuste, Guillaume creates a premium cider, made with 100% pure apples picked in the neighborhood, and locally made. A craft product, Made In France, produced in a nomadic format to be consumed anywhere at any time.
