Gin Méridor

Gin Méridor is made from a recipe devised by Franck Choisne, the CEO of COMBIER, after two years of research and development and is the first and only Loire Valley London Dry Gin.

Its central note is juniper with light peppery and floral overtones specific to Méridor. The recipe contains juniper berries, coriander, lemon zest, orris root, cubebe, licorice and two ingredients locally sourced in the Loire Valley: roses and elderflower.

Traditional Liqueurs: Original Combier, Elixir, Royal Combier

L’Original Combier’s historical flagship liqueur was created by the confectioner and distiller Jean-Baptiste COMBIER in 1834. 
Made from sweet and bitter oranges from Haiti, the recipe has remained unchanged.

With Elixir (1852) and Royal Combier (1920) those three products became the first showpieces.

Traditional Absinthe: Absinthe Blanchette

COMBIER was already producing absinthe in 1899 until it was forbidden in France in 1915. 
After a nine year long battle, finally in 2010, Franck Choisne, our CEO, was instrumental in obtaining an amendment to the 1988 Decree forbidding the use of fennel in absinthe. According to our historical recipes, fennel is an essential ingredient for producing an authentic absinthe. This breakthrough made it possible to legalise absinthe at long last in 2011 and COMBIER reproduced Absinthe Blanchette in the original way.

We export 75% of our production through regional and national importers to the premium hospitality and catering sector as well as to the retailers and delicatessens. Our crafted know-how allows us to produce authentic historical liqueurs and absinths as well as premium gins and syrups.
