FIXIN 2014

Origin : Located north of the Côte de Nuits, just above GevreyChambertin, this 115 ha vineyard (of which only 4% is white wine) faces east and southeast. It is composed of brown limestone soil with some marls. If the vineyard has probably been here since before the year 1000, it was undoubtedly cultivated by the Cistercians in 1177. The red wines are generally quite coloured, dense with a nice tannic structure. They are considered to be wines to be kept.

Product category: Sparkling wine, Cremant

Origin : For several years, Patriarche has developed its suppliers in the Burgundy designation area in the departments of Yonne, Côte d’Or and Saône-et-Loire. In order to guarantee quality grapes, the viticulturists and associations of viticulturists scrupulously respect the precise specifications established by our team of oenologists. All of these precautions are taken in order to guarantee the constant quality of our Crémant de Bourgogne. Made predominately from Chardonnay for finesse and elegance, and Pinot Noir for structure, our Crémant is made according to the traditional method. Base wines are bottled in January of the year following harvesting and aged on lees for 12 to 15 months. This ageing on lees is a quality factor which provides a more pronounced maturity.

The maturation process and our savoir-faire assure the particularity of each wine bringing them to maturity. Ageing in casks, barrels, or vats is selected according to the designation and the vintage. The authenticity of the terroir is sought for each wine, so as to provide its specific identity.
