I continue to consider Cave de Tain to be one of the best co-ops in the world, and they make a bevy of truly outstanding wines. This is in part, Im sure, due to their incredible, state of the art cellar / winery. In addition, they have a terrific vineyard management and winemaking team. ….
VINEYARDS IN FULL OWNERSHIP Uniqueness, in the Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Péray, and in particular in the Hermitage appellation estates (where the former property of Louis Gambert de Loche, the founder of the winery, has 22 hectares on the famous hillside!), the Cave de Tain fully plays its lead role and provides all its strength: the cultural practices it adopts with its own team of winegrowers serve as a showcase or sometimes even a “laboratory” for all winemakers.
On its property in Hermitage, a unique, magical place nestled in the vineyards, the winery dreamt up the most perfect display case for its wines: that was the vocation of Fief de Gambert, the former house of the Gambert family that was renovated in 2009.
In the renowned restaurant "Maison Gambert", the chef Mathieu Chartron and his team offer a perfect reflection of the high standards and the generosity of the winegrowers.
The wines from our own winery are of course served a la carte and are superbly accompanied by a refined, inventive cuisine.
