Gran Selezione DOCG
Our Gran Selezione Ponte Rosso provides an explosion of colors and scents of considerable intensity. This wine is aged in wood for over two years, primarily in new barrels. This Gran Selezione in made up of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc Grapes. An intense wine, powerful whilst also intriguing has you recalling the feeling of the Tuscan sun. The Gran Selezione is a new DOCG of the Chianti Classico, with very restrictive specifications and a requirement of at least three years of aging, so not all wineries are able to produce it. Ponte Rosso is where a famous battle between Florence and Siena took place, as cited by Dante in 1268.
