A finely balanced wine where the Furmint grape shows its fine apricot and peach fruit with subtle hints of oak from the Hungarian barrels in which it was matured. A lively wine with crisp acidity, complex and a long finish. Excellent with chicken and fish dishes and perfection with Asian classics.
Delicate floral aroma with ripe pears and melon, typical of this variety as grown on Tokajis volcanic soils. On the palate it is refreshing and flavoursome with intense white peach and citrus fruit, a delicious crispness and zest.
Vinification: Harvested on 16th and 17th September, pressing of whole bunches. Starts the fermentation in tanks and then finished in 300 land 500 l barrels, 10% new ones. We kept the lots from the two vineyards separately till the final blends in early spring.

The grapes were harvested between the 28th of October and the 4th of November. After destemming we macerated the grapes in the presses overnight. After pressing the juice was allowed to settle (at 10 °C) for 2-3 days before racking. Fermentation in tank with our own was followed by a 2-3 months of barrel maturation for most of the lots.
Pale gold colour with delicate citrus and spicy aromas. Light and refreshing on the palate with hints of white peach and honey. It has an excellent acid balance, a smooth, silky texture and a clean, long, crisp finish.
Late Harvest Szt. Tamás Furmint 2016- By Appointment Issue 4
Spicy, aromatic on the palate with hints of fresh pear and peaches. The freshness, the mineral structure, the full-bodied richness all together form a perfect balance in taste. Long, clean aftertaste with nice barrel maturation notes.
This wine is concentrated with big structure, elegant and graceful with a nose of orange peel mixed with honey. Lively acidity provides backbone and balance with intense richness and depth. Superb now with the promise of great longevity. A true volcanic wine.
Deep gold colour with a hint of amber. Fresh ripe peach on the nose, spicy with hints of ginger-apricot chutney; so complex it takes a while to identify the full spectrum of aromas: nutmeg, tangerine, apricot jam, honey, all with an astonishing freshness and the background presence of botrytis. Full but graceful to taste, intensely concentrated, rich and sweet, a tapestry of exotic flavours balanced with taut acidity. Serve in a crystal spoon.
