As the bottling register No. 046 shows, Forchir was among the first bottlers in the Friuli region. Four generations later the same passion continues with the estate now engaged in an oenological project in which tradition meets modern evolutions in techniques and taste.
The project can rely on 230 hectares of vineyards at Camino al Tagliamento in the Udine area and at Spilimbergo in the Pordenone area.
As the estate owner and an oenologist, I have the great responsibility as well as the great satisfaction of passing on my knowledge, passion and enthusiasm to my children and to all those who share our work. Every one of our wines is an expression of that unique interaction between land, microclimate and vine, which leaves no doubt as to where it comes from: Friuli, which, as I say on the label with the words of Nievo, is a small compendium of the universe
We consider technology a tool not to replace but to work alongside the natural rhythms of the earth, the vine and the wine. We achieve low-environmental impact vine-growing by applying our experience, good sense and love for nature. No sulphur dioxide is used in the actual winemaking process and the wine is bottled in the best way for its conservation.
