GRAPE VARIETY: 65% Viura (over 80 years old), 30% Maturana Blanca. 5% Tempranillo Blanco.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14% Vol.

TASTING NOTES
Clean and bright wine with pale-yellow color and glints. Complex and elegant nose, deep intensity dominated by white fruits, balsamic aromas and creamy oaky background. While getting oxygenated, its complexity increases developing mineral and laurel notes. On the palate: lightly dry at tasting, vertical all the way with good acidity well -integrated by its fleshy character. There
are balsamic, floral and citrus flavors aftertaste. Pleasant saline finish staying long in the mouth.

TECHNICAL DATA
Sorting Viuras aged more than 80 years and Maturana and Tempranillo vineyards planted with north orientation at a height of more than 800m. Handpicking in 18 kg crates. Each variety is elaborated separately in French oak “foudres” of 3,500 liters where there is also a 7 month aging on yeast. 8 month bottle aging before marketing. Long bottling improves the stunning taste of this wine.

TASTING NOTES
Straw yellow color with green reflections; nose is complex and medium intense, marked by aromas of white fruits and flowers, fennel and a balsamic base. The palate is complex, glycerol, vertical, with a final bitterness which lengthens the feelings in the mouth and long aftertaste.

TECHNICAL DATA
100% Tempranillo Blanco from our vineyards planted at an altitude of more than 700 meters (2,300 ft) in soils low in organic matter and north facing. It is fermented in vats of French oak from Normandy with a capacity of 3,500 l. It is aged on fine lees for 9 months
with regular battonage. Limited production of 13,148 bottles.

TASTING NOTES
Yellow straw color with golden hues.

On the palate it is complex, fresh, vertical and well-balanced. Long and mineral aftertaste.

TECHNICAL DETAILS
100% Maturana Blanca cultivated in the estate El Arca, located in Nalda at a height of 800 meters. Clay calcareous soil low in organic matter. It is fermented in foudres of French oak from Normandy with a capacity of 3,500 liters. It is aged on fine lees for 9 months with regular battonage.
Limited production of 6,749 bottles.

TASTING NOTES
Straw yellow with hints of green. Intense bouquet nose, high/y floral dominated by white flowers and stone, citrus fruits. On the palate it is complex with a we/1-structured balanced acidity //s entry is dry and fresh on the pala/e.

TECHNICAL DATA
Fruity, tresh and complex. Wine made from native varieties of Rioja with grapes grown on north-tacing vineyards planted at 650 meters above sea leve/ in sandy soil. Each variety as we/1 as each block is vinified separa/e/y, adjusting maceration times and termentation temperature to squeeze /he mas/ varietal expression trom the grapes. Once fermenta/ion is completed each variety is aged on the lees for two months be/ore blending.

TASTING NOTES
Clean, bright and transparent wine with straw yellow color and reflections.
Very intense on the nose, dominated by aromas of white flowers and ripe white fruit.
On the palate is very sweet, the acidity and sugar are well balanced which makes it fresh.
Aftertaste very powerful dominated by fruity aromas and notes of syrup.

TECHNICAL DETAILS
Elaborated from vineyards planted with north orientation at a height of more than 700 m. Good maturation reaching 15,5% alcohol. Fermentation carried out at low temperature, stopped at a density of 1.020 as a result of coldness. Once stopped, it is quickly separated from its yeast.
Clarification and Bottling after a strict microfiltration. The residual sugars are those from de grape itself. Limited Production: 9.853 bottles.

TASTING NOTES
Cherry-red color and rims with high viscosity. Clean, bright and dense. Very complex and intense on the nose. In the glass, the wine opens up with aromas of red fruits, wild berries and some lactic notes. After agitating the glass, there are soft toasty and spicy scents of French oak, well integrated in the wine. At last, other aromas lightly appear, as a result of the reductive botttle aging. On the palate, this wine is powerful, direct and lively. Perfectly integrated acidity along with the soft tannins, result of the long barrel and bottle aging. Long lingering aftertaste offering a pleasant and silky palate.

TECHNICAL DETAILS
A selection of grapes from the highest regions of unique calcareous grounds located at some 800 metres of altitude. Manual harvesting in boxes with whole grape destalking in wooden deposits without pumping. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in French oak casks. Intense and prolonged maceration of 21 days. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels. Subsequent aging in wooden vats to create the perfect ensemble. Natural stabilization, without filtering. Bottled in September of 2014. Production of
14,500 bottles.

TASTING NOTES
Clean and bright cherry-red colour with garnet tones at the rim. Medium-high viscosity. Intense and complex bouquet. Notes of ripe red and black fruit and liquorice, with hints of barrel aging, spice and balsamic. Rich and unctuous mouthfeel. Perfect harmony between acidity and alcohol content. Fresh and mild on the palate, the result of pleasant ripe and soft tannins that provide a long shelf life, perfect for drinking immediately or in the next 3-4 years. Lingering smoky and spicy finish with a ripe fruit aftertaste.

TECHNICAL DETAILS
Estate wine made with Tinta Fina grapes from the Fuentecubo, La Pintada, La Pedrera, Valdezate and Valverde vineyards for a mix of chalky-clay soils. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in wooden vats followed by aging for 12 months in French oak barrels from Bordeaux. Natural stabilisation without aggressive filtering. Bottled in May 2016.

Wine made TINTO FINO variety of grapes from our own vineyards in Piñel. After fermentation in oak vats the wine is aged for 6 months in oak.

Tasting notes

Agile and round. Red / purple Cherry , with touches of youth. Dense and bright. Characteristic of the good Ribera del Duero Wines.

Impacting nuances of ripe grapes, sweet, with the smooth barrel. At the beginning tastes of red fruit (cherries and sour cherries) follows the continuous soft spicy vanilla flavours.

It´s very soft and reminiscent of fruity nuances that mingle while in barrel, yielding flavours of vanilla, hazelnuts, smoked an a spicy finish.

Technical details
Selection of the freshest vineyards, with northwest orientation. Handpicked harvest with optimal maturity for young and mature wine.

Traditional elaboration in oak vats. Fermentation for 10 days at 24ºC, seeking balance between extraction and acidity. Natural malolactic in oak vats.

Aged for four months in French oak barrels.

AGING: Aged during 17 months in French oak barreis with ex/ratine grain. 

TASTING NOTES
Clean and bright with ruby red color and violet hues. Intense color. Elegant bouquet dominated by berries, flowers and spices with a mineral background. The palate is complex, glycerol, with good acidity and well-integrated wood. 

TECHNICAL DETAILS
Over 40-year-old vines planted al an altilude of 650 meters (2, 132 ti). Double selection: according to the soil, prioritizing chalky soils with boulders, and according to the vines, selecting those with the lowest natural load and the smallest bunches. 3,500 kg/ha (7,700 lb/ha). The grapes are picked in 15 kg (33 lb) boxes and selected in the cellar. Pre-fermentation cold maceration and alcoholic fermentation in French oak vals with a capacity of 4,000 L. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barreis with extrafine grain. It is aged in the same barreis for 17 months. Bottled in May 2016. Limited production of the 2014 vintage. Positive evolution in the bottle.

TECHNICAL DETAILS
Over 40-year-old vineyards located on clay soil with low organic matter at roughly 650 m above sea level. Cold maceration and fermentation at around 26°C to preserve fruit and freshness. Aged for 12 months in new and second-use barrels with toast levels that preserve the varietal character. Further aging in tanks for a perfect blend. Bottled in August 2016.

TASTING NOTES
From vineyards over 45 years old, this wine has a varietal composition of 80% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 10% Garnacha. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 48 hours. Fermentation at a controlled temperature below 28 °C (82.4 °F) at the cap. Malolactic fermentation in 4,000-litre French oak vats. Aged for 4 months in oak vats. Cherry red with violet reflections, it looks clean with medium intensity.

TECHNICAL DETAILS
Complex nose predominating red fruit and violet aromas, with a lactic and creamy oak background. The palate is fresh with good acidity and its retronasal dominated by fruity aromas with an oak background.

About us

Company details

The Palacios Vinoteca Group's adventure started in 1999 with the creation of BODEGAS TRUS, in the heart of Ribera del Duero, in the region of Castile and León. A project fully established after many years of work and effort, which has only just begun.

In 2009, our passion for white wine began to take shape with the planting of white grape vineyards in La Rioja, at an altitude of over 800 meters (2600 ft). And in 2012: BODEGAS NIVARIUS, was founded, between the hillside towns of Nalda and Albelda. It is the first and only winery exclusively dedicated to white wines in La Rioja.

That same year, we began a new project, also in La Rioja, CERVECERA ARTESANA, creating the craft beers from La Rioja par excellence: Ceriux and Palax.

At the same time, in the municipality of Clavijo, we acquired red grape vineyards with over 45-year-old vines at a high altitude (750 m/2400 ft), while maintaining the freshness and singularity of our distinguishing marks. Thus, BODEGAS PROELIO was born, where we produce our single varietal Tempranillo wines as well as a fresh and elegant rosé from Graciano grapes.

Our project is completed with a clear commitment to white wine, therefore we make Verdejo wines in Rueda and our Albariño and Godello wines in Galicia, TRILLÓN, SETE BOIS AND LÓSTREGO.

The dedicated efforts from the vintners in our more than 200 hectares (494 acres) and from our oenologists in the winery, located in the main denominations of origin, ensure the quality, elegance and bouquet of our wines, transmitting the unique characteristics of the terroir all the way to the glass.

Elegance, freshness and a perfect combination of tradition and modernity is what every wine lover will find in our wines and beers.
