About us

Company details

Gauchezco symbolizes the true essence of the traditional Gaucho culture in Argentina.
Our main vineyard date back to the 19th century, which was founded by the Governor of Mendoza Tiburcio Benegas in 1881. He was one of the forefathers of the Argentine wine industry. Our average vine age is 70 years old with some blocks that are over 100 years old. In total we have 100 hectares under vine and a fully modern operating winery. Our production is divided in two main areas in Mendoza:
Barrancas, in Maipú (at 820 meters elevation): Mendoza's most traditional wine region.
Vista Flores, Los Arboles, Paraje Altamira & Gualtallary in Uco Valley (at 1100 to 1350 meters elevation): Mendoza's most prestigious wine region.
