Familia Mayol Bonarda 2017

Pircas Vineyard. Vista Flores, Uco Valley, Mendoza. Old vine Bonarda planted in 1973 at an altitude of 1,020 meters / 3,346 feet. Average annual rainfall is 250 mm / 9.8 in. The soil at Pircas Vineyard is alluvial with a composition of loam and loam mixed with lime at a depth of 1 to 1,5 meters.
Winemaking: Hand harvested in plastic boxes. Destemmed but not crushed (whole berries). Fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. Cold maceration during pre-fermentation. Malolactic was spontaneously produced in stainless steel.
Style: Intense color. Blue and violet hues. Medium-bodied Bonarda. Spices, black fruits, blueberries and blackberries, and subtle acidity on the palate. Typical varietal character with a hint of minty eucalyptus.

Pircas Vineyard. Vista Flores, Uco Valley, Mendoza. Planted in 1999 at an altitude of 1,020 meters / 3,346 feet. Average annual rainfall is 250 mm / 9.8 in. The soil at Pircas Vineyard is alluvial with a composition of loam and loam mixed with lime at a depth of 1 to 1,5 meters.
Winemaking: Hand harvested in plastic boxes. Destemmed but not crushed (whole berries). Fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. Cold maceration during pre-fermentation. Malolactic was spontaneously produced in neutral oak. The wine rested in French oak barrels for 12 months.
Style: Intense red violet color. Medium-bodied Malbec. Cherry, mulberry and cassis linger with sweet toast aromas. Spice and mineral notes on a long and fresh finish. Good typical varietal character combined with earthy.
Suggested Drinking Temperature: 18º-20º C (64º-68º F)

Average annual rainfall is 250 mm / 9.8 in. The soil at Pircas Vineyard is alluvial with a composition of loam and loam mixed with lime at a depth of 1 to 1,5 meters. Pebbles and round rocks
Winemaking: Hand harvested in plastic boxes. Destemmed. Cold Press and Fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. 
Style: bright light golden color. White flowers and dill, herbaceous and mineral notes. 
Suggested Drinking Temperature: 9º-11º C (48º-52º F)

Style: Intense red color with violet hues. Bell pepper and crushed gravel. Bright Acidity and minerality that finishes in a long mouthwatering taste.

Source: Finca Montuiri, Luja de Cuyo, Mendoza. Old vine Malbec planted in 1926 on its own rootstock.
The wine rested in barrels for 18 months (50% new French oak)
Unfined and unfiltered.

Company details

We are a small winery producing high quality wines, achieved by selecting the best grapes from our own vineyards, with a meticulous involvement in the whole production, from land to bottle.
The winery is located in Tupungato’s main wine road. We also own two other properties, one in Lujan de Cuyo, where Old Malbec is grown, and one in Vista Flores, where we grow Bonarda, Garnacha Blanca, Cabernet Franc, Malbec...
