We are a 100% family business, founded and led by former medical doctor Patricia Ortiz, aiming to create terroir driven wines with a strong sustainable commitment to the land and its people.
We have the honor of working alongside Jean Claude Berrouet, who previously presided over 44 vintages at the revered Bordeaux winery Petrus, as our exclusive winemaker consultant.
We were named Wine & Spirits Top 100 wineries of 2017 culminating a year of amazing global recognition.
We have received consistently high scores (+90 Pts) by James Suckling, Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate, Andreas Larsson - Tasting Argentina, Stephen's Tanzer International Wine Cellar, Wine Enthusiast, Descorchados Argentina, Wine Spectator, Austral Spectator, among many others.
We are sustainable, with Global Gap Certified vineyards, Organic Certified and currently performing a Sustainability Evaluation issued by Bodegas of Argentina.
We recently received the Gold Medal at BRITS 2017 International Award of Excellence in Sustainable Winegrowing Competition as well as the DB Green Awards 2017 - The Amorim Sustainability Award.
We have vineyards in the most strategic regions of Argentina: Uco Valley, Tupungato, Agrelo, Alto Agrelo, Maipú, Vistaflores and most recently, Viedma and Cafayate, with more that 330 has/ 815 acres planted with vines.
We have 3 wineries expressing the best from each region: Bodega Tapiz represents the Uco Valley with the high altitude, Bodega Zolo represents Luján de Cuyo, first zone for vines (specially Malbec!) and Maipú, and we recently launched Bodega Wapisa, our newest incursion into the Atlantic Patagonia, and the only winery that exists in this coastal terroir.
We have a Boutique Hotel where we showcase our wines - Club Tapiz.
We have a farm to table Restaurant - Club Tapiz Resto - under the direction of renowned Soledad Nardelli, chef de lAvenir by the International Academy of Gastronomy in Paris.
We produce Extra Virgin Olive Oil from olive groves of over 80 years of age from the varieties of Arauco, Arbequina and Frantoio.
We produce Sparkling Wine - Tapiz Spakling - following the méthode traditional, having the only Torrontes mader under this traditional method.
