ABRAS TORRONTES 2017

The ancient Incas used the "Abras" to navigate the Andes mountains in Salta, Argentina. "Abras" were natural trais created by earthquakes or rivers, which allowed the Incas to connect their vast empire. For them, Abras were a blessing from the "Pacha Mama" to which they would leave offerings.
In the same way that the Incas used to thank the "Monther Earth" before starting a new adventure through these paths, we want to honor our friends with this Abras Torrontes from the unique and singular terroir of Cafayate, Salta.

ABRAS MALBEC 2016

The 2016 Malbec from Abras is produced with grapes grown in the Yacochuya zone of Cafayate in the province of Salta. The grapes grow at 1,700 meters altitude and were fermented in cement vats with natural yeasts. One third of the wine was put in used French oak barrels for ten months, while the rest was kept in the cement vats.
It has a modern, fresh nose with a latic touch and moderate spices over a core of blackberries, with a an herbal twist reminiscent on tobacco levaes. The palate is quite silky, with polished the fruit of three or four different harvests - depending on the year - which provides different wines to create a blend.
