Located 40 kilometers north of Lisbon and 20 kilometers from the Atlantic coast, Quinta do Cerrado da Porta was acquired in 1997 by its current owners. The winery was started in 2012 with the creation of its first brand, Troviscal, with seductive red, rosé and white wines. In 2014 it launched the Peripécia brand, destined to irreverent and limited production single grape wines. In 2017 finally it launched Quinta do Cerrado da Porta, a brand destined to top-of-range sparkling and still wines. Currently the winery uses exclusively grapes of its own production, originating from 34 acres of vineyards with grape varieties particularly adapted to the conditions of a rugged terrain with strong sea winds.
