Nero di Troia DOC Castel del Monte Biologico

Dry red wine obtained by the alcoholic fermentation of fresh organic grapes of Nero di Troia. Ruby red with garnet, dry, harmonious, winey, pleasant and hints of rips fruits and currants. Excellent with pasta, red meats, aged cheese. Serve at 18° - 20 ° C.

Winemaking is carried out traditionally at controlled temperature in limited capacity vessels (stainless-steel). Refining in concrete (8 months) and afterwards in bottle. Concrete tanks stabilise the temperature of the wine without fluctuation and are ideal for storing and aging wines. The wine breathes and evolves, gaining in richness, volume and purity of fruits flavours.

Rosato DOC Castel del Monte Biologico

Rosè wine obtained by the blend of two local varieties such as Bombino nero (80%) & Nero di Troia (20%). Brillant rosè colour with deep coral nuances, harmoniuos taste, berries aromas and floral notes. Versatile, it is excellent with a whole meal. Serve at 10° - 12 ° C.

The fermentation is completed at low controlled temperature after a short maceration on the skins during 24 hours to extract colors and flavours. Refining in concrete tanks for approximately 6 months. which gives wines structure and purity of aromas.

Here a brief introduction of the winery and its wines. La Cantina di Andria is a cooperative based in Andria, Puglia. Over 50 producers bring their grapes yielded in the Murgia hills area, within the Castel del Monte DOC. Our wines are mainly produced by local grapes such as Nero di Troia (Red), Bombino Nero (rosé) and Bombino Bianco (White).

Since 2015, we produce certified organic wines which include red, rosè and white versions. You will find attached the latest medal that our organic wines obtained: bronze medal by The Drink business organic masters.
