Our products

Product category: Friuli Venezia-Giulia

Friulano

Tasting notes: Straw yellow in colour with green highlights and a touch of effervescence. It has a complex nose with notes of linden flowers, dandelion, millefiori honey and citrus fruit. Left in the glass, it also develops hints of biscuit. It is creamy, yet light and velvety in the mouth with a slightly saline finish. This versatile wine will compliment most dishes apart from rare meats and game-based meat sauces. Also perfect as an aperitif.

Purpureo

Tasting notes: This Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon has been briefly aged in wood. It is deep red in colour but not overly dense, with a purple rim. The first notes to emerge are hints of green tea, newly mown grass, rubber and tar, which then give way to aromas of red and black fruit: blueberries, blackberries, mulberries and cherries. It has a fresh finish on the palate with a tinge of eucalyptus. It is soft and full-bodied in the mouth but well balanced by the lingering tannins. A versatile wine, it complements most meat dishes, game included, but can also accompany pasta dishes and risottos without masking their flavour.

Hospitality and accomodation
Talis welcomes visitors interested in learning more about our wines and for guests wishing to linger a little longer, we offer accommodation in Ronchi di Sant’Egidio, a charming medieval house nestled in the hills. This is an ideal location for those wishing to explore and take in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding countryside with its rich variety of landscapes and habitats.

From here you can take a stroll through the hills and immerse yourself in nature, or head off towards the nearby coast or to the mountains, which offer a number of interesting historical villages and tourist centers. Alternatively, venture further afield and retrace the steps and fascinating history of the Friulian people, visiting places such as Cividale del Friuli, the capital of the first Longobard dukedom, the Roman military settlement of Aquileia, and the star-shaped medieval fortress town of Palmanova. Further north, there is the provincial capital, Udine, which boasts a number of beautiful squares, while to the south lies the city of Trieste, a seaport on the Adriatic Sea which, thanks to its Austro-Hungarian history, still maintains its Mittel European feel.
