The Winery Le Favole was founded by the profound passion for wine of the family Cadorin, taking its name from a village, Le Favole (Fairy Tales the translation in English), where the vines are grown.
Le Favole boasts intensely perfumed white wines such as Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Traminer Aromatico, Malvasia, Picavèlt (blend) and Sauvignon Blanc, the sparkling Prosecco and the Metodo Classico Giallo di Roccia. Moreover well structured full bodied red wines with fine flavours as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, the stylish Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, a great autochthonous wine and a sweet meditation wine Verduzzo Friulano called Magia. The collection is rounded out with two precious reserve wines the red ones Storiis (100% Refosco) and Noglar, (Merlot 100%), that are diamonds which shine in the glass touting their prized qualities, heady bouquet and great structure.
Of the 20 hectares dedicated to the vine cultivation, most of the vineyards are located in Carlino, not far from the Maranos lagoon. Breezes full of smells of the sea, fertile terroir rich in minerals, centuries old land dedicated to viticulture since Roman times, give the wine an intense bouquet and elegant aromas.
The other part of vineyards is situated in Caneva, a little village on the soft rolling hills near the Cansiglio woods, to which the two Cadorin families are closely tied to and where they live and work with great dedication. Here the winery is embraced by a natural amphitheatre, protected by the mountains and caressed by soft winds. The wines made at Le Favole are rare enological pearls with their unique aroma typical of a special area where the micro-climate, the karstic rock on one side and the sea on the other, set the ideal conditions for a magical meeting of sensations to be savored and deep emotions.
The harvest is made by blending tradition of the hand picking with the use of modern technology: the choice of the right vines for the peculiarities of the soil, carefully selected vineyards with a low per-acre yield, the careful work in the vineyard and the correct winemaking techniques allow the winery to bring out the best results nature can provide.
