MOST BARRIQUE CILIEGIO- 100% GRAPE DISTILLATE

Most, eaux de vie is produced by pressing fresh, de-stemmed harvest grapes, whose sweet and fragrant pulp is transformed into must. The mus is fermented and then distilled, according to the “Tosolini method”, in the CHARANTE steam still -with a double distillation.

The distillate so obtained is then seasoned in Cherry wood barrels for several months, in the Tosolini ageing cellars, achieving an intense color, a unique aromatic bouquet and an explosion of taste.

The bottle of the Most Barrique Ciliegio is personalized to emphasize the quality of the product, with a special serigraphy and a sign in cherry wood.

Variety: noble friulian grapes.

Distillation: traditional manually-operated Charante steam still

Refinement : Cherry Barriques of 225 liters, medium toast

Color: intense yellow colour, with orange hues.

Body: intenseand elegant

This Grappa gradually ages in Slavonian Oak barriques in the cellars of the Tosolini family to reach the perfect maturation. A

(grape skins) and the aroma of the wood. It is a tradition of the Tosolini family to personally taste and select the perfect grappa that will be bottled in a beautiful Decanter named after an historical brand of the distillery, dated 1943, called “Vite d'Oro”.

To make this delightfully Italian Gin, Tosolini Family dusted off an old family recipe and being the Distillery renowned for the production of the Italian MOST®, opted to base the Gin on grape spirit rather than the more usual grain spirit.
GIN T 100% artisanal craft gin uses carefully selected botanicals including the Juniper from the Adriatic coast and Moscato grapes, for the unmistakable Italian touch.
Variety : Blend of selected Premium botanicals: Friulian Juniper berries with Moscato grapes, Coriander seeds, Angelica radish, Macis flowers, Vanilla bourbon pods and sweet Orange peels.
Alcohol content: 43% vol.
Di s t i llation: Single batch distillation in artisanal botanical stills dated 1955.
Colour: Crystal clear.
Body : Intense and enveloping.
TAsting not e : Subdued piney juniper and black pepper with delicate candied ginger, sage, lemon zest and faint citrusness. Dry and superbly clean with piney juniper and enlivening black pepper spice to the fore, with supporting complex herbal spice and distinct fresh rosemary. Aftertaste Pine fresh juniper, black pepper spice and faint fresh citrusness.
Overall : Being based on grape rather than grain neutral spirit seems to add body and faint sweetness to this classically styled yet subtly herbal dry gin. Traditionalists will be reassured by forward piney juniper, while those seeking something more contemporary will delight in its subtle herbal complexity.

Tosolini bedeutet eine Geschichte einer Familie und ihrer
Passion, geboren mit dem Begründer Bepi im Jahr 1943 und
heute gelebt von Giovanni, Giuseppe, Bruno und Lisa.
Eine handwerkliche dampfbeheizte Destillation in kleinen
Destillierkessel braucht nur frische Traubenschalen, die
erste Zutat, das Herz, für das beste Qualitätsniveau von
Tosolini Destillaten. Seit fast einem Jahrhundert das Engagement
ist eine Produktion, die den Rhythmus der Natur folgt, um
die anspruchsvollsten Gaumen zu befriedigen, eine unveränderte
Suche nach alten und originellen Geschmäckern und Düften.

Es ist eine Familiengeschichte, welche in den 30er Jahren mit der Gründung von Bepi Tosolini in seiner ersten kleinen Destillerie begann. Damals zu glauben, dass der Grappa, ein eher armes Produkt aus der bäuerlichen Tradition in Friaul, eines Tages als hohes Konsumgut derart in den Vordergrund rücken würde, kam einer Utopie gleich. Aber es bewahrheitete sich in den darauf folgenden Jahren! In den 50er Jahren erbaute Tosolini in Udine
eine neue Destillerie: hier wurden erstmals Fässer aus Eschenholz für die Lagerung und für die Verfeinerung verwendet. 1973 wurde die Produktion nach Povoletto verlegt, in eine Brennerei, in der die Destillierkolben mit Dampf nach handwerklicher Tradition zur Anwendung kamen. Nebenbei wurden auch Destillierkolben mit einem Wasserbad für die Herstellung von Grappa sortenreiner Reben (Monovitigni) eingesetzt, um deren Aroma und Charakteristik der Friulaner Trauben hervorzuheben. Heute steht die Distilleria Bepi Tosolini für die Exzellenz der Grappa und der
Destillate italienischer Trauben: die Produktionsmethode ist diskontinuierlich, mit Dampfdestillierkolben und in vollster Übereinstimmung mit der Tradition der Region Friaul in der handwerklichen Destillation. Sie ist weltweit für den „Acquavite Most“ bekannt: ein Destillat aus Trauben, eines unter den weltweit raffiniertesten und geschmeidigsten Produkten, gewonnen aus Traubenmost, welcher teilweise unter Anwendung eines revolutionären und exklusiven Verfahrens fermentiert wird.
