Company details

TRADITION
Three generations are the pride and joy of the BIDOLI winery, which was founded in 1924 by Cav. Alessandro Bidoli in SAN

DANIELE DEL FRIULI.
Walking in his father's footsteps and with the same commitment, his son GIOBATTA (tight to his friends!) brought new energy and new ideas into the company, which he later enthusiastically "passed on" to his own two children, who chose to work in the family business.

Today winemaker Arrigo and sales manager Margherita take pride in harmonizing tradition with the most modern technology and they have transformed the winery into a viable and modern business. But the most ambitious project of these two siblings to date has been to find the ideal site for building a new winery: thank to their hard work, on the remains of one of the oldest furnaces in Friuli, in ARCANO SUPERIORE, “FORNAS DAI FRADIS” was born, the conclusion of a long journey worthy of commitment, loyalty and affection towards the world of wine.

TERRITORY
Our wines grow in the area called "Friuli Grave", which straddles the Tagliamento river between the provinces of Pordenone and Udine. The main feature of the vineyards here is the massive presence of gravelly soil.

The peculiarity of these soils, together with the beneficial effect of the Adriatic Sea and the shelter provided by the presence of the Dolomites, the Carnic Alps, and the Julian Alps, combine to create a particularly favourable environment for the cultivation of vine.
