Cava Gran Reserva Brut Nature "Cuvée Antonio Mascaró"

We select the grapes for this cava from our private estate named “Mas Miquel”, formally the property of the Cistercian Monastery at “Santes Crues” in the foothills of Tarragona.

 Careful hand picked harvesting into small baskets.  A gentle pressing to produce individual musts that are fermented under carefully controlled temperatures of 18 – 20 degrees with a perfect blend of the different grape varieties.
 
The second fermentation is made in the bottle followed by a period of ageing in contact with yeast lees. This gives backbone and roundness to the Cava .

 MASCARÓ Brut Nature “Cuvée Antonio Mascaró” 2011 vintage is a superb, rich and silky Gran Reserva Cava.

 TASTING:
· Lovely golden colour. Fine strings of bubbles with continuous beads.
· Fruity nose with a hint of hazelnuts and brioche coming through.
· On the palate it is fine and rounded with a lingering finish.

Cava Brut Nature Reserva "Pure"

We select the grapes for this wine from our private estate named “Mas Miquel”, formally the property of the Cistercian Monastery at “Santes Crues” in the foothills of Tarragona.

Reserva MASCARÓ Brut Nature “Pure” is an elegant, lively and creamy Cava with no added sugars.

TASTING:
· Golden colour with green hues.
·  Buttery apple crumble and hints of fennel. Slightly apricot aromas coming through to a rounded and lively nose.
· Dry and ripe palate which is creamy with a good vein of acidity. Discreet bitter almond on the long finish.

Cava Brut Rosé "Rubor Aurorae"

Carefully hand picked harvesting into small baskets.  A gentle pressing to produce individual musts that are fermented under carefully controlled temperatures of 18 – 20 degrees.
 
This is an exquisite example of the aptitude of the Garnatxa grape. This variety provides the freshness, fruitiness and softness that you require to produce a premium Rosé Cava.

The second fermentation and ageing is made in the bottle, where the wine is in contact with the lees, for just over 12 months.

MASCARÓ Rosé Brut “Rubor Aurorae” is elegant, fruity and has a lingering finish.

TASTING:
· Lovely cherry hue that appears in the sky at the break of day .
· On the nose it has a fruity cherry and strawberry jam aroma
· On the palate there are delicious ripe fruit flavours. It is rounded, with a good balance of fruit and acidity.

·  Fruity nose with hints of honey blossom.
·  It is well rounded with good fruit driven flavours.

In our distillery at Vilafranca del Penedès we distil by the traditional Charentais Method of Double Distillation.

Meticulous selection of different varietals that are distilled separately, and aged in 300 litre French oak casks.

Our master distiller blends the different types of wine sprits creating this personal, full-bodied and magnificently ripe Brandy.

TASTING:
· Clean Amber colour with golden glints.
· On the nose there are satisfying aromas of dried fruit and cacao.
· On the palate it is full-bodied with a good balance between the spirit and the oak.  It is well rounded with a lingering finish.

AGING:
More than 3 years in French oak barrels.

TASTING:
· This X.O. has an antique golden colour  with glints of mahogany-tree
· On the nose is powerful and rich with some vanilla and spicy hints. It has a super balance nose between the distillate and the wood.
· On the palate it is full-bodied with creamy and dry fruits hints coming trough. Fine, elegant and lingering finish.

Brandy X.O. "Cuvée Millenium"

In our distillery at Vilafranca del Penedès we distil by the traditional Charentais Method of Double Distillation.

Meticulous selection of different varietals are then distilled separately, and aged in 300 litre French oak casks.

The wine spirit used for making this Brandy has been aged for 20 years in French oak casks originating from the Allier area. This type of ageing provides the “Cuvee Millenium” its original spicy and oaky finish.

TASTING:
· This X.O. (extra Old) has a deep golden colour with glints of mahogany wood. Wonderful slow moving legs, achieved from its excellent maturity.
· On the nose it is fine and creamy with a hint of vanilla in the background. A good balance between the spirit and the fine wood.
· On the palate it is spicy with hints of toffee and caramel. Soft, elegant and lasting length.

Marc - Orujo MASCARÓ

This Spirit is the result of distilling the grape pomace, also called “Marc”. The pomace is the residue remaining after the initial grape pressing.

The skins contain both the colour and original aromas that identity each grape varietals. Through the process of distillation we obtain a spirit that concentrates these essences.

Aged for a minimum of 6 years in Limousin oak barrels. The result is this pleasant, fine and long liqueur

TASTING:
·  Pale golden colour with green glints. Clear and brilliant.
· There are powerful oaky aromas with pleasant white fruits.
· On the palate it is lively and rounded. It is full-bodied with a good balance between the oak and the fruit of the spirit, with a lingering finish.

MASCARÓ Gin“9”

Antonio Mascaró distilled during many years a Dry Gin with fine alcohols and berries of “Juniperus Communis”  that he picked in the mountains near Vilafranca: That Dry-Gin won the confidence of a large group of  Gin-Tonic lovers.

Today we have recovered his receipt and MASCARÓ Gin“9” spring up powerful, elegant and sophisticated.

TASTING:
· As this liquor has not been aged, it is completely clear and brilliant.
· On the nose it has powerful classic and fine juniper aromas with hints of fresh citric notes
· On the palate it is elegant and spicy with hints of black pepper coming through.  Clean and lingering finish.

"KKO" Spirit of Cacao

This product has been elaborated distilling nibs of cacao grown in Claudio Corallo’s plantation, surnamed “Terreiro Velho” on the island of Sâo Tomé  Principe located in the South American Gulf of Guinea.

The result is KKO new, warm and beautiful liquor.

TASTING:
· As this liquor has not been aged, it is completely clear and brilliant.
· On the nose it has powerful, tropical, and spicy aromas.
· On the palate it is elegant and delicate but at the same time it has powerful cacao flavour. Lingering and complex finish.

"Karesia" Cherry Liquor

This product has been elaborated from natural cherries softening in alcohol for forty days in order to extract all the flavour of this Mediterranean fruit.

Vermut MASCARÓ

Perfect for the aperitif time and ideal to serve on ice with a twist of orange or grapefruit.

TASTING:
· Clear and bright with caoba colour and some hints of amber.
· On the nose it displays aromas such as dry and aromatic herbs, liquorice, coffee and reminiscence of balsamic notes.
· High intensity on the palate with a very well balance between acidity and bitterness. With a touch of sweetness and a light bitter at the end. Long, intense and fresh finish thanks to the predominant orange and citric fruit aromas.

Red Wine "ANIMA" 2006

Careful hand picked harvesting into small wooden baskets. The grapes are de-stemmed to produce a premium first press grape juice for fermentation.
During the fermentation process the temperature is maintained at 28º to 32ºC. Twice a day the juice is pumped to extract colour and tannins. After about a week the fermentation is finished. Additional maceration to extract more backbone. The wine is then run off from the skins into French oak barrels. MASCARÓ “Anima” is a superbly rich and silky.

TASTING:

  •  Deep cherry colour with garnet rim
  •  On the nose there are powerful blackcurrant aromas with some cacao hints coming through.
  •  On the palate it is fleshy, with fine tannins with good backbone and a lingering finish.
Ready to drink now or over the next two years. 

FOOD MATCHING:
Its roundness and backbone makes it ideal for drinking with meat and game dishes. Suitable also for accompanying cheeses.

FOOD MATCHING:

"LASERIE" WHITE WINE SAUVIGNON BLANC 2017

Careful hand picked harvesting into small wooden baskets. In the cellar they are pressed keeping only the first juice. The free run must ferments in vats under controlled temperature for preserving the maximum quality of this variety.
LASERIE is a lovely, fresh and crispy white wine.

TASTING:
  •  Pale straw colour with green hues.
  •  On the nose it is rounded with floral aromas and hints of orange blossom coming through.
  •  On the palate there is a crisp, fruity palate with an excellent balance between the fruit and the acidity.
FOOD MATCHING:
For its fruitiness and freshness it is good for fish, rice and fowl based dishes. A perfect match with oriental cuisine.
It is also a good choice to match with soft cheeses.
