Our Rasteau "Vieilles Vignes" is made with Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre with vineyards around 40 - 50 years old. Ageing is separated between drops and presses in concrete vat. 10% of the Syrah are aged in oak barrel from 1 to 3 wines during 1 year.
Our cuvee "Les Esqueyrons" is based on 80 years old Grenache aged in concrete vat during 12 months and Syrah of 60 years old aged in oak barrel of 1 wine during 12 months too, we blend them together for 3 months in concrete vat.
Created in 1926, the domain is the oldest cellar in Rasteau. Jean-Pierre Bertrand is the 4th generation to perpetuate the family tradition. The Vineyard extends over 31 hectares and the average is 45 years old with Grenaches of more than 80 years. Thanks to our production, we can produce, Vin de France Rosé, Côtes du Rhône, AOC Rasteau and Vins Doux Naturels Rasteau. The harvest is only by hand with a very strict sorting of grapes. We adapt our vinification according to our cuvées to propose a wide range of wines.
