Old vines of Grenache and Syrah are deeply rooted on Chalk and clay slopes of the family estate. The ageing is made in barrels and casks during 12 months. It brings a subtle natural oxygenation along with a round and tasty structure. P lum marmalade, vanilla and black-currant highlight the finesse and softness of the tannins.
Grenache and Syrah base, moderate temperature and long carbonic maceration for Mourvèdre display the unbelievable roundness and power of this grape. The wine is aged in the best barrel selection in addition to old oak casks. Jammy fragrances of black and red berries, vanilla and toasted flavours of thyme, laurel and black olives. Powerful tannins fill the mouth with delicate liquorice and peppery notes. An astonishing balance of complexity, power and roundness.
Selection of the oldest grapes of Grenache and Syrah planted on the slopes next to the rocky falls of Le Pas de LAigle. Handmade late harvest, the most ripened clusters are exclusively selected, extremely careful winemaking process is then operated (maceration, punchdowns, onemonth-long cuvaison) for a smooth and powerful extraction. The ageing (15 months) is very elegant, the finesse of French wood is perfectly integrated, revealing the complexity and fragrances of each varietal.
