The origins of the Cellier des Chartreux are identified around a place and an outstanding history.
Reminder in two founding dates: - 1612, after 25 years of work, the Pujaut lake, not far away from La Cité des Papes, is finally dried up by the Chartreux monks, reveling this way a large fertile lowlands of “white lands”.
The King Louis XIII gave in a part of the lands to the farmers, contributing to the development of “Pujault”. At that moment, the agricultural activity will never stop blooming there. – 1929, the year of the creation of the General labor union of the winemaker from Côtes-du-Rhônes, the Cellier des Chartreux is born, motivated by the will since respected : create wines from a knowledge transmitted and refreshed from generation to generation since 400 years.
